No you won't sorry just legacy ingrams from xur or year 1 raids. Get to the exotic chest in HD mode vog and open with all 3 characters and roll that checkpoint every week by being on and at the chest before reset then wait till a couple minutes after and have a buddy join and switch your character to keep it rinse and repeat each week and you'll eventually get them all. Hope that helps :)

I don't see the word engram in his post? Year 1 exotics (!= engrams) are, as you so passionately explained, obtainable by other means.
