Dinklebot was one of the worst voice acting I've heard in awhile. He always sounded apathetic, like he didn't care about the player or what was going on at all. He definitely fueled the hate on destinys half assed story in its initial release.
Nolan north does a better job of portraying a ghost. Sounding friendly, nerdy, and cowardly. Always cautious and curios. I'll take him over whatever shit Dinklage thought he was doing.

Look at the material Dinklage was handed, and you're surprised his effort seemed half assed. Betcha when he was handed the script he looked up and said "you're kidding me right?" Then they cut the cheque and he said "oh what the hell" lol
-
Doesn't mean I really want him back. Like at all.
-
I hear ya, but nolans performance isn't any better. In fact I'd say it's marginally worse. Christopher Walken is my dream ghost voice. Think about it ;)
-
I'd take Nolans performance over Dinklages anyday. Dinklage didn't even try, while Nolan at least tried to fit the part. He sounds much more like a "ghost" than Dinklage.
-
He sounds like an over excited 8 year old. Have you played the uncharted games? That is mr north at his best. I was excited when I heard they chose Nolan because of how good he is in the uncharted series. Now I don't know whose idea it was for him to go the route that he did, bungies or his, but all I can say is for me it's very dissapointing and I have felt that way from minute one of TTK. What really sealed it for me though was "We've woken the hive"

You are so wrong it's pathetic. Nolan is a G rated voiceover to a child's game. Dinkle brought the eerie , wicked, dark destiny to life

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 7/5/2016 6:57:38 PMDinklage is a great actor, but for whatever reason as dinklebot he thought "how could I sound the most like I don't give a shit about everything?" So he sounds like a total tool in every line. It's pretty disappointing. There wasn't anything Erie or dark about Dinklage, there was just zero shits given in every one of his lines. Nolan at least tried to play the part.
-
I can agree with some of what you said. But I will say this: the only disappointment I felt was hearing that they were going to change voice actors, and then hearing Nolan bot trying to execute those same lines in the most pathetic manner possible. You thought Dinkle didn't care? I understand that. But Nolan should be reading Dr. Seuss stories for five-year-olds
-
I'd say whether Nolan sounds like a kids teacher or not he made a better "ghost" then Dinklage did. Ghosts are supposed to seem cautious, cowardly, and smart. They're naive and such, while Dinklage just plays the part of a apathetic dude that just wants it to be over.
-
Going to have to agree to disagree on that one. To me the only ghost will always be Dinkle Now, if you'd asked me before I ever put my hands on this game what I thought the ghost should sound like I don't know what my answer would've been, but I guarantee you it would not of been Nolan, most likely would've been Cortana.
