Would you rather have Bungie employees wake up at 2 am to be ready to leave the house at 3:30 am to make it to work by 4-5 so you can have your patch around noon your time? Most has a life outside of the game believe it or not. If they get to work at 8-9 and stay till 6 or later, they are working like everyone else. Why should they have to wake up crazy early to make you happy?

Well, as an IT guy, I could tell you that they could have staged the update on multiple server farms across multiple timezones and released it regionally based on localized times and local ISP assigned network segments.....

Yes, yes please. For a company making billions off of it's fan base, having employees updating a system when there is real downtime, not business downtime, is what you call Customer Service. So far, Bungie has very little of that, predicated on the belief that they have a small amount of rich employees, no call centre to handle customer complaints, and wait for it....they use a forum instead of mass emails to indicate when they plan changes to an internationally played game.

Their normal patch time was indeed good customer service to their largest player base in the Americas.

Yeah, I guess we all stay up and play until 3am and then wake up at noon huh?

Sorry. If I had their job, I would go home to my family and forget about Destiny. The employees aren't robots. Would you want to sit in an office all day to come back 4 hours later to drop a patch that takes hours to load? I'm sure they enjoy playing other games or going to the movies or watch a play or maybe, I don't know, get some sleep? How many console games have a 24 hour help desk by the way? Can you tell me how many games have feedback forums?

It's 1 day! And 2.0 launch day! They SHOULD be willing to go above and beyond on such a huge day that I'm sure a lot of them worked very hard to complete. Maybe they should've worked harder on their servers to compensate for the heavy downloading...just a thought! Millions of Destiny players, but still can't manage to efficiently provide the download?! It just doesn't make sense to me...15 hours for an update & nothing wrong with my end! It's stupid.

I can tell you the update has failed time and again since it went live, giving me a variety of errors as an example. 80710723 800233EF 80710D23 BOAR I agree, it's just a game and life goes on, but barely a week now until TTK and this update has PSN all in a snafu? So next week I can anticipate another diurnal episode of updates, rather than when humans are actually asleep.
