I doubt it. This weapons "rebalance" all but guarantees we won't be ascending stuff.
They need us to buy the new stuff so they're making our current stuff obsolete. I'm so tired of being disappointed by this game. I know everyone cries wolf, but I might be done with Destiny. I don't know yet. I'm sad though because I loved Destiny.

I fear you may be right, but I'm still holding a little hope. With the amount of money they have, they should be able to think of ways to make the new gear desirable without making everything we've worked for for the past year obsolete. One thing that I find interesting is the nerf to Blackhammer. If they're not going to let us ascend old gear, then why nerf Blackhammer?

That's the way I read it. Why nerf black hammer if it is going to be outdated in TTK? I assume we will be able to ascend, they just don't want a situation like HOW where everyone still uses the same old guns and ignores the new stuff. Ex: Fatebringer, BH, VOC......
