There is a lot more that needs fixing before catering to "hardcore" gamers any more than they do. First lets translate you say hardcore I say no life Bungie already rewards you guys and girls the best. Us more casual players have to work like crazy to keep up. I guess thats the penalty for having a job and family and a real life.

  • so playing a game you really enjoy with your friends on a regular basis is having "no life"? I would say working a crappy job, barely having time for family, let alone gaming, and complaining on bungie.net about people who play more games than you do is having "no life."

  • What? I was saying its kinda true. I dont do anything really other than work, family, and play the game. I enjoy my life and job. Just saying its kinda true. But good job being a little kid who wants attention. 5 stars

  • I am saying that If you work, family, and game then you don't qualify as someone with "no life." Why are you calling me a little kid and offering me stars? Try contributing to the topic of the conversation instead of nitpicking the definition of a hardcore player or no life.

  • Dude.. this is literally the most casual "MMO" type game i've ever played. I work 40 hours a week, still find time to go out with my girlfriend / friends / roommates and see my family. I also work at least 20-30 more hours every week doing my own personal projects in my "Spare" time. I work as an Art Director at an advertising agency, easily one of the more stressful things I could have done with my life... I still manage to get ahead in Destiny. (while beating Bloodborne, and casually playing 60+ other games that I bought for the PS4 over the past few months) I've only invested a total playtime of just over 4 days into destiny (started playing a couple months ago) and have Thorn, TLW, Gjallarhorn, PaT, MIDA Multi-tool, 4 exotic hunter helmets, 2 exotic hunter gloves, Radiant Dance Machines, Crest of the Alpha Lupi.. as well as 6 exotics for my Warlock and 4 for my Titan, both of which do not even exist at the moment. In its current state, this game just spits legendary and exotic gear at you. I come from a more traditional MMO background.. I have over 500 days worth of playtime on Final Fantasy XI and by that games standards, that's "Casual". (most of my friends have 1500+) That was a game where if you wanted the best gear you had to spend well over a year making it. It is much more casual now (that same gear takes a week), but back in its prime it took forever to do anything. The only way you can claim Destiny rewards "Hardcore" players is that they play more, so they have more chances to get random gear drops. If you try to make the argument that Destiny rewards hardcore PVP players too much.. then you are a fool. You should be rewarded if you are very good at PVP, it's a skill that took practice to learn.

  • you are correct, but you may eventually find yourself in the same boat. This is why I said it is going to be a problem. There are many other things that need to be fixed. Adding another economy exchange would help people like you to be able to get whatever currency you need to get that gear you want. It's a tough balance to make a game that can cater to hardcore and casual alike. PS. I also have a 50 hr a week job, gym commitment, social life (outside games), wife, and outdoor related hobbies. I sometimes don't know how I manage to give destiny as much time as I do.

  • what are you talking about you can buy upgraded everything now cheap play for 4 hours and youll have almosteverything you could desire except some minor endgame stuff this game fully caters to the casual market in every way lol if youre struggling to keep up you might wanna try a different game this game other then a couple endgame things is so easy its laughable
