Technically it does not increase the chance of getting an exotic. It only increases the amount of opportunities per week.

This is true. However, the only way to increase or chance at getting an exotic is to increase the number of opportunities per week. Which I believe is the point the OP is making.
-
I'm just saying that there is no possible way to increase your chances.
-
No way to increase your chances per opportunity, yeah. But increasing your opportunities certainly does increase your chances.
-
Everything that you said was correct until you said increase your chances. There is no possible way to increase your chances. Increasing your chances is like taking a 1/1000 possibility of getting a gjallarhorn and making it 1/100 which is not possible. Increasing opportunity is increasing the amount of times you are exposed to 1/1000.

Different words to mean the same thing. I do agree that opportunities is perhaps a clearer representation of what is being said. However, I believe that it is also accurate to use the word chances to mean plural of a chance at an exotic (which is synonymous with an opportunity at an exotic). Either way you say it I believe you would arrive at the same conclusion... normal + hard is better if you want exotics.
-
Except for the fact that the op uses chance as a synonym for probability
-
Where does he do that?
-
If you look at the post it is every time he uses the word chance
-
Looks to me like majority of the time he uses either "number of times you have a chance" or "chances". The only time when I would say he used it incorrectly was
Therefore, this increases your chance at exotics from the raid by 75%.
Probably should have said chances there, but I still think his meaning is clear.
