You could argue that they already do thanks to VC titles.
Regardless, I might grab one as a collector's item provided it's top loading (none of that flashing red light and bent connectors bullshit). Mine still works fine and dandy though. Just as an aside, it's funny to think about the fact that my NES was about 20 years old and still kicking when my 360 died after 2-3 years of use. Nothing's built to last anymore.

So true, I don't think My PS4 or Controller would survive me swinging the remote around at high speed from a wire and smashing it into the console :D Ahh yes, those were the good old days when Final Fantasy one lost all its memory. when you were 80% of the way through the game :D Incidentally, I think we might see some improvements with flash drives. and no-discs... whenever that comes to pass.
