MIDA Multi-Tool - RUMOR: Gun's Radar Leads To Treasure Chests!
Has anyone confirmed or busted this myth about the MIDA? Can it lead you to treasure chests in PVE? This gun is so OP already tho!

It's a compass. Needle points to North. Not sure if it's true north or magnetic north.

To heck with MIDA. Follow the experienced Guardians on their Sparrows. They are a much better indicator of where the chests are located.

Just got the Mida from soloing this weeks nightfall, just to show whoever is still wondering, it clearly doesn't point to chests, nodes, etc. Just north, as everyone has said.

2 RepliesNo. It is for the " Guided Firefight" . In German: "Geleiteter Feuerkampf". It works like a clock. You determine the position of combattants and tell your fireteam in what direction to fire it, like on a clock. For example: Enemy on 2 o'clock. So everybody in your Fireteam knows the Enemy Position is on 2 o' clock and they can directly aim on target. It is a strategic tool. :-) -Blam- my english... I'm a -blaming- Kraut...

4 Repliesgot the midas multi tool the other day and followed the pointer on the scope to the doors of the kings watch area of the cosmodrome , so maybe just maybe it does point to something new, and maybe it just points in a random way ......

No. Just no. The sight matches up with the radar on the suros and an some of the red dot sights.

Just points to some set direction. A few other guns have these gyroscopic effects. Most notably the Suros, the ice breaker, and the mythoclast (last 2 have them ADS)

It does not point to anything. Certain guns have compasses on them and they're all broken

Well,idk about any chest stuff,but i have noticed that in VOG you do run in exact same direction when transitioning from one part to the next(trial of Kabar-templar,templar-gorgons,etc) except for the jumping puzzle where for some reason its the only part which slightly shifts to the left,just throwing it out there,found it cool/weird
