Add gender and race changing options already
How is this still not even an option in the game disregarding deleting and recreating characters? Many games offer these options with some of them even being over 15-20 years old. I don't want to have to redo the entire Beyond Light + WQ campaigns along with reobtaining all my stasis aspects just because I want to change my characters to female as they look better. This shouldn't even be difficult to add considering the gear transmog system we have now.

Just because both is cosmetic doesn’t mean they are similar. Also there are definitely other things that need to be worked on before this is worked on

4 RepliesHonest question (please don't get triggered)- how come all these posts only ask about race and gender when character designs in the game has more options? If we're going to ask for character re-customization why not let us change hair, face, markings, skin/hair color, etc? Seriously not trying to generate salt or anything, I honestly just don't get why people are asking for only partial re-customization. Why not ask for more?

Nah I feel you, I accidentally clicked a randomised option in D1 for my Hunter and Now I’m stuck with an ugly ah Exo that never takes his helmet off.

If its really that important, you should delete them and recreate them. Call it, “transitioning”. It will give you so much joy to replay all of the content over again.

Don’t know if that’s a good idea. Last time Bungie added any changes to character creation, they messed up what most characters even look like in the first place. Literally remade my Hunter because they made it look like someone took a flat iron to its face. Im not saying it needs to be perfect, but a character remake voucher (1 free, subsequent for 1K silver each) and an overhaul in the amount of options would be great. Doesn’t even need it to be crazy, just monster Hunter levels of character customization…

I agree, if would be nice to have more customization. Especially without deleting and starting over. Unless they somehow made it account based. Such as: You have a warlock on step 6 of the current season story- you delete your hunter- new hunter has the option to lv all the way up to step 6 since that’s the furthest you have finished. Also if you own beyond light- just let all of the aspects and fragments for stasis be unlocked- just like the light supers. On a side topic- they still can’t fix the sidearm mod, so I am not sure how long it will be before they give us better character customization.

Yes, but make it fun too. Like you get a change token every time you die to something that completely vaporizes your guardian or when the Oracles shunt you into an alternate timeline. Ghost is basically starting fresh on that next respawned body

1 ReplyI agree completely. I recently had to recreate my hunter, and it was an absolute ball-ache having to re-run all of the quests just because I wanted to change race on one character. I am pretty shocked, actually, that they still have not added character customization to the game so far. It would be pretty easy for them to add a vendor to the tower, and they could even add unique appearances to raids and dungeons as well as the store. I think that would be pretty popular with the players to be fair.

Probably because they know it’s a pointless feature. This game needs so many things that I personally wouldn’t want them wasting any time on something so insignificant. Keep your helmet on and your character can be whatever gender they want.
