So there gonna do it again to not just us Xbox player base but now to the new PC base that they're gonna tap into.
Activision and Bungie,
I understand business and the way it works. And I, like a lot of people I talk to have no problem with timed exclusive content, IF it's a reasonable amount of time.
We are OK with a month, I can even tolerate three months, but a year is ridiculous. And don't get me started on the Year 2/3 content that we still have yet to receive.
And now that we have a release date for Destiny 2, and givin the statement that Xbox will receive PS Exclusives Fall of 2017, we can safely assume that we just aren't getting them. Since by the time you grace us with it, D2 will be out and no one will care about it anymore because we'll have a whole bunch of new content to NOT enjoy!
My main point is it's pointless to assume that this content is enough to make someone who has invested over a decade in Xbox, and 3 years of Destiny for that matter to go out and buy a PS4 and start all over. Even though D2 will not carry over anything from D1 I'm still heavily invested in Xbox through so much other content that I would or could never switch.
So with that said, I and others just flat out take offense to your alienating half your player base and soon over half of it with thee addition of PC users with these ridiculous wait times.
I'm not asking you to end all exclusive content deals here, it's business I get that. All I'm asking is to have a sane and fair wait time this time around is all.
Thank you
Love
Keira 😊

12 RepliesThe funny thing is that xbox has a larger player base then ps4 on destiny.

Keep your xb and buy a PS4, problem solved. You can thank me later.
-
But will I have anywhere to put it 🤔

22 RepliesEdited by twirlypen: 4/1/2017 3:14:48 AMWere you this upset when Microsoft purchased Bungie and forced them to redo Halo as a completely Xbox exclusive franchise for the next 10 years after they had already demo'd the game at Macworld?

5 RepliesThe PS4 exclusive content has been nothing terribly special, and certainly not worth switching consoles for. Sony first party games like Horizon, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Nioh, Persona 5, and Nier Atomata these are games worth switching for. Sony is killing it with their first party studios

Businesses pay for exclusivity, they get it. That's the way business works. From full to timed exclusivity, money gets the cake in that world.

Love how u xbox players think a ship, sparrow, an armor set per class, and a couple exotics are a TON of loot. The exotics besides Hawkmoon are not even game changing ones. 2 are cosmetic and other is just an armor set that no one cares about since we got raid gear out that literally takes a hit for u. Stop making a big deal out of something that isn't.

10 RepliesCry about it, gaming companies are allowed to sign exclusivity deals with consoles. They don't owe anyone anything. It's a nice little bonus if you have a PS4, but I promise you're not missing much. The exclusive exotics aren't necessarily top tier, and the exclusive armor is meh. The exclusive strike is cool and allows u an extra shot at an imago loop, but it's not a mind blowing strike and it's not the best strike. Honestly, it's not a super duper reason to switch consoles and it's certainly not a reason to bitch about it. I promise, everything exclusive they've given us is easy to live without. I'd maybe say not giving Xbox hawkmoon in year one was a bit excessive, but handcannons weren't very good back then anyways.

13 RepliesI think it's safe to say at this point. If you're on Xbox, destiny isn't for you. Sad but true.
-
Inb4 someone brings up the "but u guys got halo" argument
-
I really wish they'd show us the contract details so everyone will just stop this crying. The contract is already signed. This "issue" is going to persist throughout the destiny life span. So, buckle in. It's going to be a long ride. P.s. chances are, if it's in the contract details, they most likely don't control when you get the exclusives.
-
1 ReplyNot to mention with pc coming in to the mix bungie is going to alienate 2/3 of their player base.
-
You know what? And let me be clear... those exotics sucked. Now, if you want them for the collection aspect I totally get that. The only gun you guys got gypped on was yr1 hawkmoon. What a beaut. That said, as a PS4 owner, I'm 100% with you. Why? Cause we went one year on PS4 with several strikes not in the nightfall rotation. Went a year with several crucible maps not in iron banner. And xur never sold the exclusive weapons, so you were s.o.l. if they didn't drop. A couple of months is a nice perk, and thank you Sony for providing the benefit. One year was too long and impacted my game play.
-
i can care less about a useless exotic and a strike. until PS gets a gun as BS as hawkmoon(prepatch...gun is ass now) then i dont care.
-
2 RepliesMaybe exclusives this time around will be less??? Cause there is another platform added to the mix? Who knows, I do know I'm on Xbox and have been for awhile. So never gonna make a switch, oh let me add I don't care about the exclusives, it hasn't ruined my fun with the game.

Welcome to business. Activison has partnered with Sony this time as it was a more logical business choice due to PS4's success. In doing so Sony will always be favored by Activison. MS is partnered with EA. Perhaps you're supporting the incorrect console for the games you like. Go get yourself some Titanfall and Battlefield.
-
Get over it. You're complaining to the wrong company.
-
7 RepliesAnd yet some people have switched and some have chosen to purchase a PS4 over an Xbox for said content, seems like their strategy is working.
-
PC players will have the exclusive weapons. The modded weapons. The in game mods. The mods that change the games rules. They will have a lot.
-
2 RepliesI play on both ps and Xbox so I'm happy either way
-
I get why they have timed exclusives. Most games do it, I hate it, but it's bearable. Some game companies need it. BUT. A year? A year? That is absurd. And a slap to the face of those of us who put so many hours into this game.

6 RepliesYou and I as Xbox players don't need exotics=) I'm just fine with a new game, who knows, there could be a plethora of new exotics😉 As well, speaking of exclusives mam, what version did you preorder?
-
23 RepliesExclusives not coming to PC is such a bad idea. If Destiny is halfway decent for PC, consoles will get dwarfed.
-
This is pretty much everything that could be said about it. I feel the exact same way. I don't mind exclusives, as long as they are released in a timely manner to all. I understand business, but there is an extent to which you can take it before it loses you business.
-
time to go talk to microsoft then.. don't like the fact that ps4 paid a ton of money for those exclusives don't blame them for putting up the money, blame microsoft for being stingy and not forking out money at all for those same things.
