Absolute Bullshit.

I'm an Xbox and PS4 owner. Your statement is wrong.
-
You do realize PlayStation have more than double the consoles in the wild than Xbox right? Your claim is absurd and laughable
-
This claim is utter bs and you know it
-
Not true at all
The funny thing is that xbox has a larger player base then ps4 on destiny.
It's probably funny because some moronic Xbox fanboy made that claim up and since it's so stupid it made you and all of us laugh

PS4 users in general outnumber XBONE users almost 3-4:1. It would be shocking and a statistical anomaly if XBONE users outnumber PS4 users. It's always been said though that the hardcore gamers are on XBONE, and the PS crowd typically tends to be more casual.

Now I'm genuinely curious. I do have a theory. My theory is that (I could be out in left field) older players like myself are more likely to buy a PS and the younger gamers tend to gravitate to Xbox. Younger gamers most likely play more than older gamers who work have families etc.... That's just my guess.

That is an interesting theory, but I don't believe its true. I'm an older gamer, but I've been with xbox, really since the gamecube era LOL. I was a die hard Halo fan from the days of Halo 2 onward (actually played Halo 2 before the original halo and got hooked). So given that Halo is strictly XBOX, there is quite literally 0 chance of me ever switching over. I think the difference, if there even is one (it could be perception rather than reality) is likely attributable to the games. Halo already had a HUGE following before it was ever brought to the 360, whereas games like Resistance and CoD were still trying to gain ground when PS launched the PS3 to compete with the 360. So a LOT of hardcore players stuck with Xbox mainly because of flagship games such as Halo, and those who were less invested in exclusive platform titles were more willing to jump ship for a console that provided marginally superior hardware. This likely left an audience of mostly hardcore fans on XBOX, with PS4 having far more numbers. Of course, this is just my theory. There is likely MUCH more to it than that lol.
