My story with TLW in spoiler:
Well, shit, I said it; The Last Word takes skill.
That is, it takes skill to do well with.
TLW is not a gun you can just pick up and go flawless with. I decide to try it out for two weeks, and it is now my favourite primary besides NLB.
'
But it's going to be a while before I get good at it.

1 ReplyIf you know how to close in on enemies, then it's effective, and knowing how and when to close on enemies does take skill. ~TheGreatNike

Not everyone cause use TLW, the two guns that are honestly noob friendly are the Mida and Doctrine. I hardly play destiny now and when I do it's within a span of a week or two weeks, and when I play it takes a while for me to be able to control the recoil of TLW. I usually use Mida when I haven't played because honestly it's so easy to use, I can be rusty af and still be effective wit Mida it's crazy.

Most TLW kills are to the body so the nerf did nothing to change the outcome. It takes zero skill to shoot the body and win.

I used tlw for the first time for months a few days ago and I ended up finishing a rumble match with a 3. Something KD. So no, it doesn't take skill

"Skill"....

2 RepliesGet gud

Never has

Considering I am great with it, that confirms that it doesn't take skill to use.
-
It always took skill. But so does everything else.
-
Takes more skill than MIDA Multi-Tool and Doctrine of Passing. -troygamer11

1 ReplyOnce all primaries have equal ttk, then I'll say it takes skill. Until then, it's easy to pick up and learn, at most two weeks.
-
No skill in this game
-
I suck with it. Jus' sayin'.

6 RepliesEdited by Szeth6678: 4/25/2016 6:09:00 PMI personally think the changes they made to TLW were just what needed to happen. The buff to hipfire accuracy and stability (but not damage) means that using the weapon requires more skill, in my opinion. You're no longer relying on the extra damage to give you the edge. In my head I'm thinking quality over quantity. Instead of increasing the quantity of the damage done, the perk improves the quality, i.e., more accurate and stable damage. If you're skilled enough to get those headshots with hipfire, you'll benefit enough from the extra stability and accuracy that you won't need the extra damage to wreck people with the weapon.

1 ReplyIm just gonna go ahead and say whoever uses that clutch of a gun is a scrub. No questions asked.

3 RepliesI dont even care. 3 people in one stupid match today. Got my ass killed plenty by it to not even care anymore.
-
5 RepliesThe shouldn't of nerfed TLW Perk. No reason for me to hip fire anymore. Since the nerf I haven't versed 1 competent last word user, so I guess it must be underpowered now
-
Without it's ridiculous damage boost ya the gun seems fit for PvP
-
Used it alot, still the best hand cannon in the ga- *sniped*

I've always said that when it comes to killing 1 person, it's super easy for anyone with a thumb to spam the fan fire and get the kill. The skill came into play when successfully taking on 2 or 3 guardians with a magazine of 8 or whatever TLW is nowadays.
-
13 Repliesit took skill before the perk nerf. the dude from bungie literally said "players have gotten too good at aiming their hipfire". last word has always been a skill weapon in year 2, anybody who denies it is a moron. I have friends who can't aim for shit with it. the kids who complain about last word are probably the same that complain about shotguns in year one. they should just stop playing before the game gets ruined even more.

3 RepliesDo auto rifles take skill?

The last word the no perks unlocked takes some skill.
