Why did bungie nerf fusion rifles??

3 RepliesThey can tighten the cone spread by like 5 degrees but that's about all I'll do to them. They're already strong and effective, just got to learn to compensate for recoil and cone spread. If on any Fusion Rifle you have a Linear Compensator, take it. Regardless of recoil reduction or not it makes Fusion Rifles easier to use. With the Linear Compensator all that you'll have to do is control the recoil. There will hardly be any left or right side recoil drift.

1 ReplyFusion rifles does not need a buff. If u know how to use them they wreck. More annoying than shotguns. Because of the range.

They could have at least done a mythoclast buff. Oh well

10 RepliesFusion Rifles are still pretty effective if you know how to use them. I've never had any problems using them in either PvP or PvE. There is a learning curve for them but once you get past it they're devastating.

1 ReplyI would prefer Bungie to just leave them alone. I hope the reduced travel time isn't a big deal though. It's hard enough getting hits when the other team is lagging.

3 RepliesIn the dim and distant past, about a year ago, before most people had found Thorn the crucible echoed with the warm up sound of a thousand fusion rifles and many screams of rage were filtered into the forums! If you take all the thorn posts that have littered these parts for a while and replace thorn with fusion b**tard rifles you'll have an idea of what happened. If you've been around since then you couldn't have missed it.

There was a time that they were good, but they were shoved out of the ring. Bungie is afraid to bring back stuff that they really screw up it seems.

Fusion rifles are actually really good it's just that shot package shotguns are so much better. After the shotgun nerf in 2.0 fusion rifles in their current state would actually be OP.

Maybe the nerf to shotguns would have made the fusion rifles superior and they want to balance things.
