Fusion Rifles are still pretty effective if you know how to use them. I've never had any problems using them in either PvP or PvE. There is a learning curve for them but once you get past it they're devastating.

 • Yeah of course shotguns are the ideal choice for PvE but what I'm trying to say is that they are not absolutely useless. Utilizing their range can help burst shields or keep a large space between you and the captain/knight/yellow bar whatever. In PvP it's pretty much the same thing. You have to be mindful of the distance between you and the enemy guardian and their shotgun range. You can stay outside of shotgun range and one shot with a decent fusion by landing most of its burst shots. Fusion Rifles have a learning curve to them but you can play them and have fun once you know what you're doing.

 • Over it takes like twenty shots to equal one shotgun shot

 • This may be true and all in pvp, but for PvE any fusion rifle is completely outclassed by a Shotgun in some way. There's really no point in using a fusion in PvE if you have an equivalent level sg. Which sucks because I like fusion rifles in PvE they are fun.

 • I agree with you completely. I think Fusions need the same treatment that shotguns got in update 1.1.1. (Increased damage against all non-Guardian combatants by 2x (100% increase)) Applying that at maybe 50-75% would give the Fusion the umph that it needs to truly be effective in PvE.

 • Plan C is by far my favorite Fusion to use in both PvP and PvE. Like I said though, you have to be mindful of the distance between you and the enemy. It has a fantastic range though so I recommend giving yourself some distance and then using it while in ADS. If you're up close though you really have to take advantage of the weapon swap perk. In that instance its acting like a shotgun and the hip fire perk makes it even more effective.
