I don't care how "legit" you think you are...
Eventually you will farm. It's inevitable. You will sit in front of a cave or in a small area or in front of some mighty doors and you will pour thousands of rounds of ammo into enemies until you get what you need to get/upgrade your legendaries/exotics. You'll do it in your big boy pajamas. You'll do it fully clothed. You'll do it in your tighty-whities. You'll do it eating food or listening to music or drinking a soda. Either way, you'll do it and you'll like it... all night long.

I didn't farm. I was never against it I just felt strikes were a better way to lvl up Last night I farmed for 40 minuets which included 2 public events.... I levels up ..... I had been 21 for roughly 15 strikes.. 40 minuets of farming and I am nearly 23 I will be joining the farming gang. Its too effective not to

10 RepliesThis war between farmers and hardcore elitists is pointless. Everyone can do whatever they can as long as it's within the games boundaries to obtain what they need. There's absolutely no point in caring about anyone else's progress but yours. Go your own pace, and do whatever you feel is necessary to do so. Don't pay attention to how anyone else goes through this process because you'll be frustrated for no reason at all. Do all of the above and the game will be much more enjoyable for everyone. This applies to every MMO including Destiny.

have you ever played a game that consists of mob grinding for xp or drops its a natural thing to do. whether your in a large feild or small pass killing is killing theres just a change in the masses thats it. if you want to be in the same spot all day as boring as it could be thats their decision others round out there game based on how they want to play the only thing that needs to end is grown men whining about how there shotgun should be stronger than anyone and everything in existance cause there older and played cod though you cant help them if there using a hunter who has no sheilds or defense if there so content with a close range thats there choice those people should be cleansed if anything at all

Their farming loot is not effecting you in any way unless you are the one that those bullets are going into and you are magically shitting out legendaries for them to pick up. I can go do strikes and get nothing the entire time, i go out and see people farming. Do i stop them? No. The real thing that I hate the most universally are players that ditch you after you joined a strike and there is no way to recruit anyone into your exsisting fire team or have them jump into one already in progress.

3 RepliesWhat I really think it is is people are upset because you CAN get legendarys and rares from lvl 14 mobs, I think if you could only get them from level 20 mobs then people would have less problems with it. Either way, I do both so it doesn't bother me.

lol at your and by extension what you think others believe is legit. Unless you're hacking the game, everything you get is legit whether its from farming, strikes, or crucible. Its all "legit" unless like I said you're hacking the game.

Nothing wrong with a bit of farming, it's not directly modifying/hacking. Just using a mechanic to its fullest.

7 RepliesThere is an awesome place on mars. I hadnt farmed before but needed 200 tears from mars found a vex spawn cave in 15 minutes got my legendary auto rifle grim citizen 3 and a chest plate plus 6 or 7 blues all turned to rare coins and motes of light.

I did it on venus where the crashed fallen ship is, but at least you are fighting enemies that fight back.

3 RepliesFarm for what? The only thing I have farmed for is materials on different planets for whatever I need. Killing the same enemies over and over again is BORING to me. Besides I already have a full set of legendary/exotic armor, all I need is a legendary/exotic fusion rifle and I will be satisfied for the time being.

Farming is tottly legit? How can people think its cheating. Tecnicly you farm every time you go collect some materials to upgrade armor lol. I accually need to get more spirit ball things from venus so I can get some upgrades on. Only takes a few minutes if I go to the conflict zone and run from chest to chest while killing guys and doing missions.

In all honesty, I don't hate farmers at all, but I get a kick out of getting my ass beat playing strike missions. If playing those repeatedly is farming, then call me Old McDonald.

6 RepliesThe end game of Destiny once you get your Legendary gears and trying to get ready for a raid. You'll seriously just be finding materials or scrap armor to upgrade your Legendaries so you can reach that next level. But I do not understand Cave farming. Leveling is somewhat easy imo. You dont need to do 98347603 for legendary engrams. Engrams suck. Theyre random. Theyre good for maybe a chance at exotics but to get legendary item you want from an engram is like winning the lottery TWICE! Simple leveling should be like so. Level 1-20 (Strikes and Story Mission). Level 20-24 (Blue armors with Light, Typically gained by Strikes or Crucible). Level 24-25 (Getting a Full legendary armor set.) This is best gained by getting reputation via bounties then purchasing the legendary item YOU WANT Npcs. Level 25-27 (Simply upgrading your armor will increase your armor's light. This is where you will spend your time finiing things like Spinmetal and Helium Filaments. Also scrapping junk armor.) From that point on you'll be good for a raid. Remember no matter what level you are it is still a raid so you will probably feel like its pretty freakin hard. Raid gear will get you from 27-30. Remember to upgrade.
