This is just a suggestion, and because it would effect the community, the implementation of this suggestion is something that IMO the community should have the right to voice and weigh in on. As any feedback by one, could effect the overall game for all, it is better suited as a poll, so at a glance Bungie can see what the community votes and of course read the reasoning behind the voting. As an option that would make the reward system much more exciting for some, and I'm not requesting a RANDOM LOOT GENERATOR BY ANY MEANS when it comes to all weapons, I'm suggesting that with the plethora of weapons in the game Bungie "could" occasionally implement a "Rare weapon -to-legendary- modification either once a week or twice a month". It would function like this: Example: "A little voice". It's a rare. With the rares, Bungie has the weapon already designed. There's no need to modify the physics design of the gun. However, imagine if you will, upon decrypting a blue engram finding a "legendary" (purple) [b]rare[/b] version of a weapon (in this case "A Little Voice") being found from an engram that has been [i]made[/i] "LEGENDARY"... with 1 damage upgrade added to its upgrade tree. You basically decrypt a blue, and discover a rare version weapon that has been made legendary status by 1 additional damage upgrade in it's upgrade tree. At the end of that two week cycle, or month cycle, that weapons availability no longer is obtainable. You... Your discovery, is now another part of your legend, dictating your Independence, how unique you are, and tells the unique story of your guardian and his/her adventure into the abyss of battles you've endured. ;o) Only a few would find it. Only a few may obtain it. It's origin and how it came to be in the Destiny universe will always be a mystery. But it's yours. And only a few would be lucky enough to have possessed it. So, in essence, somewhere in the Destiny universe storyline someone took a rare weapon and in their travels with it "became legend". Please vote and share this poll. [b][i][u]EDIT: The formula clarified.[/u][/i][/b] [spoiler]Formula: •1 rare weapon is selected(every 1-2 weeks) •That weapon is a legendary counterpart of its rare model •It's given 1 single damage upgrade to set it apart from it's rare model •That weapon is purple (legendary status) •At the end of that 1-2 weeks that legendary version with its single damage upgrade is no longer obtainable, and is only owned by those who discovered it, never to be discovered by any ever again. Note: Avoids anything OP, exploitable, is not as powerful as core legendary weapons, and provides a rarity that can't be bought. The weapons history would always be a mystery.[/spoiler]
