Gotta give everyone equal chance at collecting all items. RNG accomplishes this quite well in most cases but there will be those few that can run the raid 50+ times and still have the RNG not drop that 1 weapon or piece of gear evading you. Some people will go nuts for hours in their pursuit of getting that 1 item they desire. That entertaining, at least I hope they find it so, and that is the whole idea behind this franchise... Your idea is good and thought out, I kinda like it but what if you really want that 1 item. You pay and play as much as the next guy, it should be reflected in the acquisitions and rewards as well

 • One aspect taken into account on Bungies part should be if implemented correctly the loot system being CORRECT. If it (the rare of the time period that would be going legend with a single upgrade) transpired, their loot system would need to bring it into place in the loot system with the correct percentage of it being obtainable. If the chance to find purple (legendary) was a .5% chance, it would make sense the system I'm describing would place that "Blue to purple" would fall under the guidelines they've already established. The good news is the code for the rares are written. The blue-to-purple would be timed events of availability not known to us. And only when it happens would the community know it's possible. But the incentive to stop fast tracking strikes to the end would definitely make people stop and occasionally go "hey guys I wanna take my time this go around for that unique that's been popping up". You've got a valid point. Equal chances are very important in the loot system. ;o)

 • Thanks and such a pleasure to read a well written, eloquent point that backs itself up. So many people are too lazy to comment properly that they shouldn't say anything at all. Cheers!

Cheers!
Cheers mate. And thx. I try to RE-visit these polls to address anything that can be valid. I am still crossing my fingers one of these days Bungie actually acknowledges some of these things. Time will tell. ;o)
