From what I have read, they nor Bungie have directly said anything. I will wait till Bungie, the people actually making the game, issue a statement that contradicts the media.

And just for future reference, the whole "well Bungie didn't say it so it must be false!" ideal doesn't apply when Activision is publishing.

We will see, something doesn't seem right here. Since Bungie has announced Destiny, ads have been spammed across IGN, KOTAKU, NEOGAF, and other gaming forums. (Google is now currently hosting destiny ads). The amount of advertising already is astonishing for a game coming out next year. I don't buy it. I am having a hard time escaping ads for Destiny, normally you don't see this much stuff till like a week before the game is released. The advertising budget must be enormous and they haven't even started.
