Destiny still (most likely) coming in 2013.
From Activision:
"It will also be a year of significant continued investment in several new properties with long-term potential that are not factored into our 2013 financial outlook, including Activision Publishing's new Bungie universe, Call of Duty Online for China and the new Blizzard MMO."
This year, these games are NOT factored into the outlook because they are completely new projects and Activision has no way to know the earnings for them or estimate them for investors. Do you guys really think Bungie and Activsion would already offer pre-orders and advertise to pre-order if the game wasn't coming in the foreseeable future? Unless Bungie says otherwise, I think it is safe to say this game will be out in 2013.
Bungie has been working for years on making this game on the xbox 360/PS3, it would likely be this gen with a port later on but holding up the game for next gen would just be too much time and money from all the work they have done.

We can speculate of course, but we will find out when Bungie officially announces what's up. It's true this game has been in development for a while and with Bungie's track record they tend to slowly divulge info to their userbase. I have faith Bungie will release a great game at the appropriate time.

Is it possible that (assuming the game has great hardware requirements) it could be sent on multiple discs? like more than 3 at the very least? so that it runs great on current hardware AND still looks truly amazing? IDK much about this stuff thats why I asked. ME had 2, why not just let us install more discs? I wouldnt be bothered if it means it's good, it runs great (smoothly and stuff) and Looks amazing, like True HD. ThnQ

Activision came straight out today and said that Destiny isn't releasing in 2013, and now you're trying to spin it as some sort of Jedi mind-trick that they pulled on us? Because they don't know how much its going to sell so they're going to not factor it in at all? Does that really make sense to you? Nice try. Destiny's out Spring 2014 on current gen/next gen on the same day. Be there.

2 回复Until an official release date is announced, I'm expecting a fall release date. Activision saying it's not in their projected outlook doesn't mean a whole lot, we aren't even two months into 2013 yet. I also find it hard to believe Bungie would have revealed stuff if it wasn't planned on being released this year. Bungie works like clockwork, announce game at beginning of the year, release it in November.

2 回复That's what I've been trying to tell people for a while now. Going by Activision's marketing, I'm expecting a 2013 release sometime during the Fall. Also to every one asking about next gen consoles "Destiny" is only releasing to 360 and PS3, any title after the initial release will more than likely be on next gen.

Yeah there's articles floating around today about how it's definitely not. I think the media is just BS'ing to kill hype for the game or something. Call me crazy, but all of the sources saying that are also the ones who reviewed H4 and said it was the best game in the series.
