That's what I've been trying to tell people for a while now. Going by Activision's marketing, I'm expecting a 2013 release sometime during the Fall. Also to every one asking about next gen consoles "Destiny" is only releasing to 360 and PS3, any title after the initial release will more than likely be on next gen.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 are the only consoles confirmed up to NOW. Once the PS4 and Xbox "720" are announced they can officially confirm Destiny for those consoles. Bungie and Activision can't blatantly state confirmation for next-gen consoles because at this point they don't exist...until wednesday that is.

Yes, Activision wants to see their money back from their investment. The thing is though, how do you promise investors money on a product that has never been made before? It is easy to estimate a cod game or a wow expansion but Destiny is a completely new game. It will be released this year but it is not factored in the earnings yet because there is nothing to compare it to or estimate.
