Exactly. They shouldn't compete with animals by consuming their food. It's impolite. They can't eat animals because: empathy. Someone suggested they master photosynthesis. Aside from that, they will likely have to starve, become extinct, and be added to the list of human-types that didn't make the cut. This is another reason the Xenomorph is a superior species. It isn't plagued by delusions of morality.
