Unless you are doing older activities that is below that level they are pretty much useless paper weights.

Bungie should have a better warning than the current shaded triangle in the upper left screen of the weapon icon, to let you know you’ll be essentially WAISTING all of those resources (shards, enhancement prisms, ascendant shard) when you purchase) when you buy legacy gear with a power cap. Truly: shame on youze, Bungie.

Wow, after playing D1 and D2 for years and then being forced to quit due to logistics its pretty toxic too finally come back to an entire vault full of useless gear. Makes me not want play; what a bad decision. Was ready to buy all of the DLC's too.
