I used to play Warcraft back in the TCP/IP days of computer games and I always played as the orcs. The "1" at the end came because I pissed off a moderator on the Xbox live forums by making fun of his name. Two days later I got a mail message after logging in to xbl telling me that my name had "illegal characters" in it and had to be changed, even tho I had are the account three years prior...
