I like this. I'm the type of person that debates simply for the mental exercise. It's very rarely because I have a pony in the race. It's almost a mini game to see how intelligently someone can prove their side. Im a super laid back dude in person, but I'll still have a good debate. I think it comes from dealing with the general public for years. When someone is an ass you need to be able to come back with something that is still polite but makes them realize they're an ass.

Yes. I agree totally. I'm pretty much the same way, and I almost don't even want to say that, but I read that post and was like, yes. That's me. I debate just to debate. People at work are like "u and your goddam technicalities."
