It does not make sense

If there is all this negativity surrounding used games and how developers don't get the money for what they create all the time then how on earth is the X1 family policy where you can have up to 10 other people play your games library without charge going to be any better when it could potentially (if abused entirely which of course it wont) reduce their profit to 10% of their original profit. There is also talk of steam doing something similar, but what is to be gained from this???

    If it's a popular game, cloud sharing won't be enough to stop people from buying it. Take CoD, for example: two people can't be playing the multiplayer on separate accounts at the same time. Nor can someone else from the sharing pool be playing the game. People want to be able to play games at their convenience, and sharing isn't a replacement for owning a game. Same thing with single-player games, too. Limiting sales of used games, on the other hand, will force players to buy new.
