I got to stack on so many modifiers just to achieve B rank now.... It's like the stronger I get power-wise the less points I get but the larger the number?... And every time I get gear that's better than the gear I got the points I get go up but it means less? And every time I get to a power threshold I stop getting gear unless I'm playing the hardest thing available? I'm trying to help my buddies do missions and set up modifiers and whatnot help them out they'll get gear and hire ranks but I don't and get less score but I'm higher level so it should be easier but it's not? What kind of backwards system did they make for this expansion?

  • You're showing as 279 currently on your main. That means you can easily do master content, with no modifiers added, and get the max rating. Have you tried? It's very easy.

  • There was a dead zone before 300 where 200 was not giving loot but 300 was too brutal to be worth it....but once I got that extra 25 ish light it wasn't so bad to run the 300....

  • So the game will start to recommend you do the next level difficulty at -40 light. That is too hard for normal grinding. I have found that once you get under that, even at -38, it's wildly different in difficulty. I think -40 is the threshold from hard to very hard, and it shows.

  • Sounds about right I've done a few 300 over the last few days and it's not so bad...a few points makes a big difference in these new systems

  • I think it's just those thresholds. I did one GM at -60 so i could complete a guardian rank requirement when i first hit 360. It was definitely on par with old GM difficulty if you were under light at that point. I could only do 1/3 shield damage on barriers, with a kinetic techsec build. But i did it, crazy that i am. It gave me the impression that combatant deltas are roughly in tiers of 20 power. Every 20, it goes up significantly in difficulty. Might just be how it felt, but interesting to know if true.

  • I never watched the numbers that closely....but I wouldn't be surprised.... mathematically a division of 20 in 100 is 5 which matches the tiers and has matched with difficulty easy, normal, hard, very hard, impossible...it all makes sense but the score grades and loot doesn't drop to match unfortunately as you progress... creating the dead zone I experienced...I think the overall multiplayers aren't matching the same curve and need to be removed for a flat system of tiers to match everything else or be reworked to a better and smoother curve....

  • I honestly haven't experienced any dead zone during my leveling. As long as i hit max score, i didn't have any points where i was struggling to get leveled drops. Sure, it's subject to rng, but that's been my experience. I don't mind it, i just think it needs to be tweaked, which they are planning to do. And it feels worse this season because we start at 10 power instead of 200, like future seasons.
