I mean, it's basically arguing x axis vs. y axis. Hunters vertically move way faster than their typical jump allows. Snap skating is just horizontal movement faster than normal. The advantage is the same imo.
Snap skating 100% is an issue and should have been disabled until it could be properly fixed. Stompees, and whatever other method of hypermobility, are also issues that desperately need to be fixed also though. Just like shoulder charge in pvp in the past, hypermobility of all forms are unhealthy playstyles that people pretend take skill to justify their freelo staying ingame for just a little bit longer. Reminds me of when one eyed mask was a thing and people defended it too.
