dude, this is like asking why halo 1 isn't still up. nobody is making games for the xbox or ps2. and subsequently the same will eventually happen to the 360 and the ps3. it's just hardware, man.

Riiiight. it's been a while and I never actually played halo 1 when live was a thing so the whole early thing must of just blended together in my mind. point is most early servers for older games on older consoles don't stay up. halo 2's is down for example.
