Nightstalker 3.0 is………. :/

Okay, hear me out before you pass off my concerns as “just another spoiled Hunter crying about changes”. Void 3.0 is great and all, but Nightstalker just lost a lot. And I mean A LOT. We lost combat provision, and you might say that aspect is similar, no, I don’t care, no grenade returns. We lost one of our most important subclass perks, Heart of The Pack. And my favorite perk, Keen Scout, is gone. It might just be a me thing, but I really love keen scout. Meanwhile, Shadowshot was our last real claim to fame, after Cuirass made Nighthawk irrelevant, and now Warlocks have it on a rift. A RIFT. Which comes up every 25 seconds or so. Compared to the around five minute cooldown of Shadowshot. I might sound like another Hunter just upset for the sake of it, but if you’re reading this, and have read the Void 3.0 notes, then you have to acknowledge that we just lost a LOT. Especially compared to the other classes, which got improvements across the board. If they’re not getting rid of Heart of The Pack and Keen Scout, please, let me know. I’d love to be proven wrong. But if anyone at Bungie somehow sees this, I have to ask: why remove them? What was so either game-breaking or useless about these class perks that you had to remove them? EDIT: As of today, Bungie has confirmed that Heart of The Pack and the original Combat Provision are being removed. The same is most likely true of Keen Scout.

  • Nightstalker 3.0 is garbage. Only solidified why I prefer stasis and solar. Nothing valuable to pve and useless gimmicks and parlor tricks for pve and something you know you're gonna nerf in pvp and still has hard counters I don't why people think invis is broke when eye of another world negates it and truesight negates it. You can't counter overshields and you can't counter volatile. What they gave hunters is pure garbage.

          • Yeah, as someone who’s mained Nightstalker in PvE since season 13, I’m not too optimistic about what I’ve seen so far for the Hunter. Hopefully it’s better than it looks. Definitely happy with the Titan changes since I love to run bubble, though, and the Warlock changes are looking the best so far.

Take away the flowery language, He's basically saying there is no good news or bad news....just news. What makes it good or bad are our EXPECTATIONS....and often those aren't reasonable or fair. Especially if we're coming from a place of [i]"What's in it for ME." [/i] The reason why people get frustrated with players like you, is because you demand up and down that Bungie improve the game. Make it better. But the SECOND anything changes in the game that inconveniences you in any way....UP goes this instant outcry....AND YOU HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED THE GAME YET. So you have NO idea how these changes will impact the game, or even if the things being removed will even be missed. Just this sense of, "How dare you inconvenience me, Bungie!! " If nothing changes, then NOTHING changes. Jeez. Stop complaining and just play the game, THEN see what you think of the changes.

              • Well the other thing to realize too is that when they were streamlining things for void 3.0 it was said that they weren't going to be bringing everything over. So while Hunters may have lost some stuff (maybe more than the other 2 classes). You have to keep in mind that EVERYONE was probably going to lose something that they liked for their class in regards to void abilities, passive or otherwise. Some of us also know that while they showed off the majority of void 3.0, I don't think that it necessarily means we've seen everything it has to offer. There are still fragments that we don't know about, 7 in fact that will be available after worlds 1st raid completion. And to top it off whose to say we that they haven't kept an extra Aspect or 2 a secret for each class? The truth is we don't know everything and we don't have all the answers. But thats something we're gonna have to figure out later down the line. Hope you enjoyed my wall of text and that this at least makes you feel slightly better.

                • How do you know they are gone? Some perks might just be hidden under fragments. Idk if you know this but we don’t know what all the fragments do. Nightstalker was never ever good for the heart of the pack buffs anyway, everyone knows invisibility is the bread and butter and now you have 3 different ways to activate that and you can enhance it some more with the graviton forfeit helmet

                      • Lmfao! Oh no we can’t see material nodes with out using our ghost mods! lol So dumb. We didn’t get nerfed. Just from the little they showed us we got a massive buff and great customization. Stop making the rest of us Hunters look bad with your silly complaining. We still don’t know that much about the changes other then the little they have shown, and what they have shown looks amazing.

                        • As a former Hunter main, void 3.0 got me excited to play Hunter again in WQ. They didn't say anything about Keen Scout and Heart of the Pack, but that doesn't mean they aren't built in elsewhere. But hear me out on this. There's a Hunter aspect that makes snare bombs Invis allies in addition to their weakening enemies. Omnioculus just got a WHOLE lot better. There's another Hunter aspect that makes it whenever we kill an enemy that has a void debuff (which nearly every ability is going to have) we get Invis AND truesight AND the next melee we do weakens enemies. You know how that sounds to me? Smoke bomb, kill, Invis, melee, kill, Invis, melee, kill Invis, repeat. Actual borderline stealth gameplay. And with Graviton Forfeit you get even more time in between melees. Mmmmm! I honestly love what they're doing with the abilities. [b][u]Shared Debuffs[/u][/b] Suppression Weaken Volatile [b][u]Class Specific Buffs[/u][/b] Titan: Overshield Hunter: Invis Warlock: Devour Sure everyone can weaken enemies now like Hunters can, but Hunters can do it [i]more.[/i] Warlocks have to use an aspect or a fragment to be able to weaken. Titans can only use a fragment it seems. Hunters have weakening supers and weakening snare bombs baseline without any modifiers. Then we get the fragment and all of a sudden every Hunter void ability causes weaken. It sounds amazing for solo gameplay and definitely fits the Hunters' "lone wolf" trait among the classes.

                            What do you mean by RIFT and every 25 seconds? And how do you even compare to SUPERS which makes no sense as well. 1. Our rift takes 1:18 to 41 seconds and only with builds it gets lower 2. Curiass and Nighthawk are 1 shot damage increasing super exotics and a rift can't be compared to that at all we have no exotics that make a rift as strong as you think they are. So where were you going with that?

                              • No literally, the changes make no sense. No new exciting toys for the hunter, and a already obsolete subclass turned so even more. My biggest thing is mobious quiver, like why? It was the only thing going for nightstalker and its gone lmao.

                              • When I look at Nightstalker’s changes, I’m mainly looking more at perma-invis builds + Spectral blades. Things like that would be nightmares to deal with in PvP as well as be great for soloing PvE content. Losing defining abilities is 100% one of the biggest weaknesses of the new subclass system though, and it does worry me a lot for solar’s eventual rework. Void and arc seem very simple to redesign since their identities boil down to “space magic” and “chain lightning” respectively. Solar has 3 different identities: “fiery explosions” “airborne combat” and “healing” so that’ll be rough to smash into the restrictive aspect/fragment format.
