Lol and so the cycle continues in an effort to make people play older irrelevant parts of their game in place of new content.
Guys, whisper is the beeknees - snipers wreck bosses! Bungie - lets nerf whisper.
Guys Swarm of the Raven is the beesknees in Crown, lets all get it. Bungie - lets nerf GL.
Guys, Mountaintop/recluse combo wrecks in pve raids and is great in pvp (being 2 pvp pinacles it should). Bungie - lets nerf recluse and reloading in rifts to nerf mountaintop.
Etc etc infinitum - handcanons, fusions, rocket launcher, supers, grenades, scouts, machine guns.
I wouldn’t mind if they brought in new content with new weapons that created a new meta by evolution. But this constant nerf bullshit is pathetic

And even with all that those weapons are still good and activities are still easily completed. Cry more
I wouldn’t mind if they brought in new content with new weapons that created a new meta by evolution. But this constant nerf bullshit is pathetic
It's getting tiresome. Because---you're right---if feels manufactured and over-controlling. I stopped playing The Division 2 for 6 months because that was clearly THEIR strategy to keep people playing. By constantly churning the sandbox....breaking up people's builds...rather than letting them enjoy playing the game in the way the wanted to play it. I just CRINGE every time I hear someone (in Bungiespeak) refer to the "safety" of long range weapons. But then they never talk about how high level content always PUNISHES the player who DOESN"T stand-off and play that way.
I wouldn’t mind if they brought in new content with new weapons that created a new meta by evolution. But this constant nerf bullshit is pathetic
Spot on. Balancing the game is a job, I get it, and a tough one at that. But, there are other tools to combat massively used metas. Unless of course: “Developing content is hard” And if that is truly the case, then the numbers shell game is all Bungie can fall back on. Unfortunate.

Its a way of hiding the fact that you can't introduce enough content....different content....to keep the play experience fresh. But the problem is that you frustrate people...and pressure them into playing the game in ways that they don't enjoy. And its like Bungie STILL hasn't learned the lesson that players RESENT feeling pressured to play games in ways that they dont' enjoy. They'd rather have a stale experience that the can interact with creatively....than an artificially "fresh" one, where they feel railroaded.

The constant concern about something being really really favored by a lot of people leads to things like Bastion. It's great in PvP, don't get me wrong. But its Breakthrough intrinsic in PvE is...sad.

Yeah when I initially read that perk I was so hyped. I said to myself "why would I use anything else kinetic in the current game if this thing ignores shields!!?!?!" Tried it. Shmeh.
