Help, dont know what expansion to buy
Hello there, i got the destiny 2 base game from when they were giving it out for free, i really like the game but never did more whit it, now a new expansion is coming out and to start playing i dont know what to buy, i heard there were 2/3 minor expansions before forsaken and that a new one will come out in october, my question is, what do i have to buy to be up to date? i wanna play the forsaken expansion at elast the story part so i get caugth up, but will it become free whit the new expansion? because destiny is no longer in battle net story and not even the offical bungie webstie lets me buy forsaken for pc, what do i need to buy to play more than the base game?

If I am not mistaken the annual pass will be free the 17th of September if you own Forsaken. If you buy Forsaken you get the first two expansions free as well! I am on ps4, so not sure what the deal is with PC..

Just need to buy Forsaken and Shadowkeep, with New Light in October it comes with the Osiris and Warmind expansions for free too.

Jaclbet You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

1 ReplyIf you haven't bought any dlc at all,only buy the base forsaken expansion because curse of osiris and warmind are going to be free for everyone once shadowkeep drops, and if you only buy the base forsaken expansion you will get all the content up to shadowkeep for free. Other than that you'll just need to buy shadowkeep. I believe houndish posted a video on YouTube yesterday explaining it.

You can buy Forsaken, and the Annual is going to be free at some point before Shadowkeep.

If you want more to play before the new stuff in shadowkeep, then I would at least get forsaken. I'm pretty sure the whole of y2 content is pretty cheap now as a bundle though so it may be worth getting that

Well, the "complete collection" just got discounted to $20. Its super cheap now and includes everything we've had until the end of year 2. If you DON'T want to play past content (you'll get Curse of Osiris and Warmind anyway for free) then just buy Shadowkeep. Thats the newest expansion and includes one season too. Should you want to, you can buy the digital deluxe which includes the rest of this years seasons or you can wait and see and buy them individually if you feel like it. Hope that helps.

Dont buy anything. Nothing has been engaging for some time. Bungie is just trying to save the game until they can figure out what to do. Play the free stuff.

If you like it then that’s the one you should buy. You’ll also get a character boost to 750. So I recommended creating your other characters now if you haven’t done so already, it’ll be easier to experience what you like if you have one of each character. Edit: D2 will only be available on Steam for PC. Your account will be transferred over to Steam for free. If you do decide to purchase, it would need to be on Steam.

You need to buy the Forsaken complete collection that has all the DLCs and the current annual pass. That will get you up to date with all the content.
