Why do all enemies just die when a strike boss is killed as tied in to the lore?

Fallen teleport the -blam!- out of there. Same with Cabal as the mission failed. Vex are withdrawn for other uses. Hive die because their exalted hive leader no longer provides them with power. Taken disappear as they are free from a master.
