Yes you do, I am a sword bearer in the raid, and I am completely -blam!-ed off with people not having heavy and not dropping Crota and ME dying! It's bullshit

People play video games for fun and to enjoy themselves, staying at the same spot, shooting the same troops for an hour to get glimmer is no fun. It's bullshit
The story's and strikes are so boring now it's unreal. Can understand why people wouldn't want to do them either, when you've run the same 6 strikes over and over and over again, it's mind numbing.
I have defended this game over and over, yet over the last few weeks I have lost nearly all my fireteam, because of simple things like this, [b]we want to have fun Bungie[/b]
Sorry, but you have -blam!-ed up Bungie, the only part of your game that is fun and a challenge any more is gone too, because people can't be -blam!-ed to shoot the same shit for hours to get heavy synth from
Gunsmith.
Also, if any of you retards say "use black wax idol".... Please do the world a favour and run in front of a bus so the rest of the world no longer needs to endure your stupidity!
EDIT - People seem to be unable to read, so I will clarify, all my friends have got bored with this game. As a result, if I want to raid, I have to use lfg. Playing with randoms is never going to be as fluid as playing with a team you are used to working with.

Dude, I had someone yesterday (mind you, I was helping for fun as I already beat it with all characters last week) and he kept saying he didn't have any and was trying heavy ammo glitch. Eventually, turns out he has synths and when I asked why he didn't use them he said "I want to save them". What the f*ck are you saving them for? I mean, Heavy synths are in demand for CROTA!

With how slowly you gain glimmer, in a 15 minute span of mindlessly farming you could only gain enough glimmer for 10 heavy ammo synths. For those who have ran the raid, 10 synths can easily dissappear after just one full attempt at crota. So what do you do if that happens? Leave the fireteam and spend another 15 minutes farming? It's ridiculous, either they need to lower the price, or simply sell them from xur. I am among a large group of people who simply just want to stop stressing out about their heavy ammo, worrying that without it they'll be useless to their team, and just enjoy the damn game.

Lol, No you don't NEED xur to carry heavy ammo synth. Just because peopel are too lazy to go spend some glimmer on heavy means nothing. Xur carrying heavy is a convenience. The quicker you knuckleheads realize that, the better. Also, i don't see how people go through so much heavy anyway. I use maybe 1-2 a raid, and i never have any problems bringing the bosses down. You all are either really bad or entirely dependent upon your heavy weapons, which is sad.

1 ReplyOne - it takes less than an hour to farm enough glimmer to buy 10 packs from the gunsmith if you know where to go. Two - it takes one minute to empty your hand cannon and rocket ammo to get enough drop to keep you going through an entire raid. Three - with the right armour (and even then if not) you can pick up enough from random drops to get through most raids and if you have a sniper with ability to shoot loot (if not you shouldn't have dismantled it!) you can pick it up from killing thrall throughout the game from a safe distance. These are my methods and they have served me well. Not had a problem yet and I've done the hard end tons of times now.

Not saying I don't want it. I want it, but you shouldn't need like 20 synth a week to beat the raid. I think that Is what most dissenters are saying.

I used to brush off the need of buying ammo synth but now I will carry 3 stacks of 20 on each of my characters.

Heavy ammo showers off the first enemies for me everytime, so never really needed it! But I wouldn't mind some to make nightfall a that little bit quicker

You know that you can get a ton of heavy ammo by using the icebreaker trick right? Empty your primary and any heavy and get kills with the icebreaker until your ammo regenerates. You get full ammo on everything and every bad guy drops heavy ammo. No need to waste glimmer or wait 5 minutes for a cool down. It's not that hard.
