Yes you do, I am a sword bearer in the raid, and I am completely -blam!-ed off with people not having heavy and not dropping Crota and ME dying! It's bullshit

People play video games for fun and to enjoy themselves, staying at the same spot, shooting the same troops for an hour to get glimmer is no fun. It's bullshit
The story's and strikes are so boring now it's unreal. Can understand why people wouldn't want to do them either, when you've run the same 6 strikes over and over and over again, it's mind numbing.
I have defended this game over and over, yet over the last few weeks I have lost nearly all my fireteam, because of simple things like this, [b]we want to have fun Bungie[/b]
Sorry, but you have -blam!-ed up Bungie, the only part of your game that is fun and a challenge any more is gone too, because people can't be -blam!-ed to shoot the same shit for hours to get heavy synth from
Gunsmith.
Also, if any of you retards say "use black wax idol".... Please do the world a favour and run in front of a bus so the rest of the world no longer needs to endure your stupidity!
EDIT - People seem to be unable to read, so I will clarify, all my friends have got bored with this game. As a result, if I want to raid, I have to use lfg. Playing with randoms is never going to be as fluid as playing with a team you are used to working with.

I'm a swordbearer too, and I hate it when no rockets are shot, so much. I've resorted to the heavy ammo glitch every time I do CE hard mode. It's terrible. And it'll never change most likely D: I agree so much, He'd better sell some synths next time or I won't even bother with CE HM for the week. my 200 SC's in my vault are making a mini-earthquake in the tower.

2 RepliesServes you all right... I buy at least 300 each time he sells them and I'm still sitting on over 40 for each character at the moment. Get off your strange coin wallets and spend them! I talk to people who buy like 20 or 30 coins worth then bitch that they have none.. well, the way to remedy this is to buy a lot when he actually sells them instead of bitching about not having any when theres a drought.. If you're a core destiny player, You should be doing the weekly 3 times a week netting 27 strange coins in addition to whatever you get here and there, so you should have some strange coins, especially since Xur sells garbage other than synths.. (I"m sitting on 180 strange coins at the moment). I hope Xur doesn't sell them tomorrow.. so I can have a good laugh..

I went from ~8000 glimmer to the cap just by using glimmer items through nightfalls and weekly heroics for the week.

1 ReplyI farmed for a little over 3 hours for black wax idols and made about 20 heavy Ammos worth of it, also maxed my glimmer 2ce and bought 15 more. It sucks without Xur, but it isn't really hard.

I do the exclusion zone for 30 minutes or 450 kills and I usually have more then 12000 glimmer + anything the drops for extra glimmer that's enough heavy ammo lol

Yep. I didn't Raid last week Cuz of no heavy ammo synth. I have 100 strange coins for zur this week. It's 5 weeks since he sold synth. That's all I want.

3 RepliesIm sword carrier for my group aswell dude i feel your pain. when no one has heavy ammo Synths its a big issue with my team everyone wants to do crota but no one has the heavy to drop him in time which leaves me to die. I have [b]131[/b] strange coins thats going towards heavy synths which gives me a total of [b]655[/b] heavy synths [b]4,585[/b] seperate rockets for my ghorn Id rather spend [b]131[/b] coins for [b]655[/b] synths rather then spend [b]622,250[/b] glimmer to gain the same ammount of rockets i get bored farming glimmer before 1 blackwax idol is over.

I'm in the same boat. Glimmer runs absolutely killed the game for me and my friends. I have added at least fifteen people in the past month, all of which have moved on. It's not even just about Xur. For anyone who thinks it's laziness: 1. 25K glimmer cap that is shared across all characters means a struggle to keep all characters and their weapons current. I have yet to have a full set of leveled gear and weapons since the changes to leveling them up. 2. The glitches are what kills my team more than any goof up. Crota being invincible or not kneeling are the two biggest offenders. Shield disappearing/glitching into scenery comes in as a close second. Laaaaaaaag is right up there, though. 3. Losing ammo every time you die or go into orbit means a constant need for heavy ammo synth. Since there's a five minute cool down, any death/lag needing orbit means more time wasted as well as ammo. See number two for the main reason for this. 4. For people who have three characters and a full vault, swapping everything in between is next to impossible. The amount of Glimmer a heavy ammo synth costs is ridiculous with the current glitches and ammo loss bug. 5. I have never been lucky when it comes to getting Black Wax Idols, so a five for one swap isn't feasible... especially when I am using them to farm glimmer and use on bounties. I used to love running raids and nightfalls. With all the changes to level and gear, the glimmer strain has made every type of activity a struggle to use a heavy weapon on. I can't think of one time I haven't heard at least one person state how many ammo packs they have left and no glimmer to stock up.

Plus, I have like at least 5k consumables just sitting there for when I use some glimmer. I am not ignorant, just really good and well stocked. ;) Oh and I am sure I ran sword more times than you, so I am looking at this from both sides of the spectrum. tl;dr: Xur doesn't need to sell heavy ammo, you need to learn how to stock up and be prepared.
