who else doesn't raid?
Either you can't find the time, are socially inept(like me), are afraid of failure, or plain old just can't be bothered, I can't be the only 31 who's never finished a raid. Post here if you want to be on a fireteam of people just like you, or just to sign in.

4 RepliesNot once. I am honestly not that great and have a fear of dragging down the team. Also, im a 28. I lost the desire to grind quite a while ago. Just started a Titan as my 2nd char and really finding a new love for Destiny. Maybe over the 4 day weekend i will try to find some patient people to help me through the vog. I also need to study the vog videos before an attempt. I don't want to go in lacking skill AND knowledge, one of those im capable of changing in a matter of hours. Ooooooh ppooooooor me lol hahaha

Anybody that's never run it or has limited experience with Id be happy to run it with you. Most of us have been the new kid on a team and needed direction. (Normal or hard mode does not matter) I'm not saying I'm the raid guru but I've done it enough to know where to stand. I actually believe they're a lot of destiny players willing to help. And I have met the people that apparently were born with the knowledge to flawless raider every raid and it's my fault they got shot by that goblin or hit by the thrawl Xbox one Megatr0n808- message first, I'm not that big on adding those randoms in the tower.

8 RepliesI have not raided yet, I wanted to level up my character enough as to not be laughed at. Unfortunately the more I read on the forums the less I want to try unless there are some patient understanding grown-ups who wouldn't mind carrying me through. Sounds like a blast,maybe one day.

I did some casual VoG runs before DLC (like 4) with random groups having varied success. With the way the gear was reset so quickly in dark below I've kind of lost interest in trying grinding the new raid for the best loot. I mean my lvl 31 gear is fine for PVP and the best stuff will just become obsolete in next DLC Yes we knew our gear would have to become obsolete eventually but it just happened too fast and too extremely I'll try Crota once or twice though eventually. No rush.

I've haven't completed one. I never have time for them or if I do I can't find amyone to do them. Even on the recruitment forums.

I have extremely limited playtime, most days it's basically when I get home from work (after doing anything else I need to around the house) until I pick my wife up from the train station. I also get to play on the weekends. I also don't have any real life gamer friends to raid with... Which leaves me to LFG on the forum. Even with these roadblocks I have done VoG, just not as much as I'd like. If you want it bad enough you'll find a way.

4 RepliesIf you take the time to watch some videos, there are some great tutorials for the raids on YouTube. This makes it much less intimidating, and if you go to the recruitment forum page you could probably find a team looking for 1-2 more players in a short amount of time. That's the easiest way. And most teams don't end up finishing the raid from beginning to end in one sitting. Just play for 30 mins to an hour and then go if you need to. The raid is probably the most fun the game has to offer, but it is a little bit of a hassle to get into it (time finding people and time completing it). But if you put a little time into it, it can be really fun, not to mention the awesome loot you can only get in the raids. Good luck!

3 RepliesThe raids not that bad. Do vog first on normal with a group of people who've done it. Just be up front and tell them you've never done it. It really isn't that hard and typically can have it done in about 45 minutes normal and a little over an hour on hard. I've only done hard mode a few times and Crota once but I have a good time every time I run one.

Xbox 360 GT: HeartStrong07. Lvl 31 Hunter. Have Mic, play almost every morning btw 6 - 8 am cst, then 1-3 pm in afternoon and some evenings.

I want to raid, but don't have a large enough circle of friends on LIVE. The Catch 22 is, being inexperienced, I have no desire to drag down a group of randoms...so I can't get experience.

5 RepliesGetting to 31 is easy so I'm sure your not but your really selling yourself short the raid is the best part of the game with some of the best drops... I got black hammer and hunger of crota my 1st and 2nd time beating crota... And now everything is right in the universe

Started playing this day one. And ive only been in the last part of the vog raid. I would love to find a nice open minded group. Who isnt all about downing you for making a mistake and that are patient.

3 RepliesNo you're not the only one. I too have a wife, full time job and kids to share game time with. It's just hard to do, and when I do get a chance in usually made to feel like cotton headed ninny mugget.

I rarely raid - I've cleared it twice (AFAIK) and have gotten to Aethon on hard a couple times. I haven't had time to do CE yet. To me, the biggest turn off was all the glitches. I don't think I've ever been on a team that purely failed the raid; rather, we'd be doing fine and then the timestream sequence would glitch and half our team would get stuck in Venus while the other half was in Mars or some such other stupid crap. After that happens 2-3 times in row, the team would just throw up their hands and decide to try again the next day. Often i would miss that followup raid. I can't understand why Bungie didn't implement procedurally generated content within patrol and offer harder patrol options. There was so much potential in this game and it just melted away like vaporware.
