who else doesn't raid?
Either you can't find the time, are socially inept(like me), are afraid of failure, or plain old just can't be bothered, I can't be the only 31 who's never finished a raid. Post here if you want to be on a fireteam of people just like you, or just to sign in.

1. Everyone screws up sometimes, even the best raiders can't escape it every time. 2. No reason to fear failure, if you go in blind it may be difficult but once you figure things out it's not so bad. There are plenty of videos you can learn some mechanics of certain encounters. 3. No mic? Socially inept? not really a problem. As long as you pay attention and can follow instructions, you needn't worry about talking much. If you need help or don't understand something just gotta ask. 4. Take your best gear, raids are not a place you want to level new gear in. If you are lower level, you will not only take more damage but also deal less damage. 5. After becoming more familiar, Try using the relic, or lead the maze. it may seem intimidating but the more parts you can do the more value you bring to a team. I've ran with new people that had more completions than me yet refused to go in portals,or even touch relic. Anyone can do it, just gotta practice. I hope this brings some confidence to those who want to finally tackle a raid. 6. Have fun and don't get discouraged.

Dude, if you aren't raiding you aren't living. It's hands down the most detailed, most in depth part of the game. It rewards good teamwork as well as skill. plus the awesome rewards. As a young 26 I used to fear it, but then I found a friendly group of 29's and 28's to guide me in the depths of Venus. It's like apple pie, you have to try it at least once -Benchwarmers

I didn't raid for awhile and regret it. Definitely my favorite aspect of the game. It also doesn't take very long with a good group.

I used to join my friends in their VoG raids whenever they needed the extra help before the dlc dropped. Now, I just can't be bothered with it as I fail to see any real point. I don't particularly need the mats from VoG, have no interest in CE, and frankly don't want to deal with any PUGs as they typically leave me with a massive headache.

I only raid when my friend who does raid invites me to crota, and half the time I decline bc shit group.

Well, I haven't done the Crota's End raid simply because I can never get a team, often short on time, and am simply too lazy to get a team together.

3 RepliesI've never done a raid either, have started VOG solo just to see how i would do with the first stage. I'm nervous I would bring the team down and piss people off. I've tried finding a group and the one time I was booted when they ask for everyone's age, I'm 46....I know, pretty sad that I got booted for that. I guess I was lucky they booted me before we even started. I'm able to solo the nightfall and weekly strike....Needless to say, I go very slow. Omnigal (sp) nightfall took me about 90 minutes or so to finish. i'm just slow and steady. I mostly play during the day, east coast time. Tough to get on at night because i work rotating shifts I'm on Xbox1 game tag: Machine 11

1 ReplyI have never attempted a raid with other people, as I am afraid that my inexperience will lead us to failure and thus great dissatisfaction and disappointment for all involved. Now I can't do a raid at all for as of this time, I lack an Xbox Live GOLD Subscription. I hope that, if you ever do a raid, you will have great fun!

8 RepliesI solo the first two parts on the crota raid and i don't bother with the last part. I just don't like the hassle of dealing with groups, finding them is easy, getting a good group is the tricky part, even harder to find a good group who doesn't want to cheese crota.

8 RepliesNever done any raid or weekly/nightfall for that matter. I have to small children so it's hard finding the time and I may need to go afc sometimes and I'd hate to cause the group to wipe because of that. Also I'm less experienced in shooter games overall. All of that combined makes me a little reluctant to join a group, I don't want to be the one player dragging the entire team down.

3 RepliesI find my clan does everything on Tuesday and Wednesday if I can't get on those days I'm screwed. I end up soloing the content instead very very slowly with ice breaker. They need matchmaking for nightfall and weekly strike. They can't say it's too difficult for randoms.

1 ReplyI'm more of a PvE person... Although I do PvP as well. I wouldn't say I suck at PvP, but I'm not awesome either. I usually finish with around a 1 KD. On PvE however, I raid non-stop. I usually will do one or two raids a day. I am really good with the sword on Crotas End. If I have a team that can take his shield fast enough I'll kill Crota in 2 swords (I've done it in just one sword if I can get enough orbs from teammates) If you're interested send me a friend request and I'll raid with anyone on PS4. 3 RepliesI dont understand all of the fuss about raids. Like people that say "Oh youve only completed the raid x times? You must suck." The raid isnt even that hard... Its just a lot of chipping away slowly at big bosses health. The rewards arent worth all the time and trouble it takes to; Find a group of people Start the raid Replace the people that rage for nothing Continue the raid Replace the people that have to leave Finish the raid. (It all makes me think of that silly video, Destiny in 60 seconds, or something. "The hardest part is the Vault of Glass. Not because of the boss but because getting 6 friends schedules to line up is flippin' impossible!")
