Which Primary Weapon Do You Use?
Hi all,
Which primary weapon do you primarily use; and why?
I am debating which primary should I use and I would very much like some of your opinions and suggestions to help me to decide.
I very much like the scout rifle for it has good impact, which interrupts the targets, and good damage. Also I always aim for a head shot (or a belly shot against the Vex). So I have grown fond of the scout rifle since I started playing. I also like the hand cannon too; except for its relatively small cartridge size painfully long reloading speed. I have tried to really like it and use it but I have always ended falling back to the scout rifle. The pulse rifle is a good choice too although I do not use it that often. I feel that it is not as easy to use as the auto rifle and not as impactful as the scout rifle and the hand cannon. I however have to say that the pulse is very good at one thing: scoring headshot. First you aim at the chest just below the neck, which is larger and easier to aim than the head, then the recoil will move the muzzle up and you will hit the head.
Lately, I have done some PvP matches and some team PvE. I have noticed that a lot of people are using the auto rifle. I would say nearly a majority of them. For me, I just cannot get used to the constant recoil and the constant adjusting of aim. I understand its appeal and it also manages to score a lot of team kills too. With the auto rifle, you can start aiming at the general direction before moving into a more precise aiming, and thus almost always hits something. WIth the scout rifle and the hand cannon, you have to aim first before firing, and then reengage when necessary and fire again. In PvE teaming, it annoys me to see that my kill counts are lower than a auto rifle user but I believe I deal more or less the same amount of damage; just that my bullets hit fewer targets.
So anyway, what do you use? Please share your views on the primary weapons.

Auto Rifles, because youre literally at a disadvantage using anything else.

I switch between thorn, suros regime and bad juju

I like hand cannons for PVE and ARs for pvp mostly due to higher kill potential when fighting multiple enemys

You can find a good hand cannon with a larger magazine or an increased reload speed. For example, I have one that can hold 8 and also had a perk for faster reload.

Pulse Rifle. Feels reminiscent of the BR.

Autorifle because using anything else doesn't make sense. It's the most powerful primary, there's no reason to use anything else.

If I get the Vision from the vault, I will main that. I love Scout Rifle, loved the DMR, but nothing has it's feel. So for now, I uses Scrubos Regime until I can get Vanquisher VIII

I use auto rifles. I play mainly pve, so it is awesome for clearing waves of enemies like thrall. I have always felt like the pulse rifles are underpowered, and the hand cannons have too little ammo to be of use. But I wouldn't turn down a good scout rifle either.

I use Dr. Nope.... A LOT! 84 round mag with an insane fire rate make it an absolute blast to use, love that auto rifle.

Pulse rifles seem to be the least favorite, but I really do like mine, especially since it has a full auto perk. I can stagger enemies easily. I was doing the weekly strike on Mars with the tank (level 28) and I was lighting up the tank from a distance with critical hits. Although, I'm getting the legendary auto rifle this week from the Vanguard, so this all might change.

I bought the Suros, too good to pass up. Once upgraded, it plays like a pulse rifle. However, once I got my Red Death, I swapped back. Aim for the chest, let the recoil carry you up and heads shots all around...
