Thoughts On Mobile Photography?

None of them are REAL photographers

Some of it isn't bad.

I like a good portion of it.

Particularly that shared on social media such as Instagram. A lot of people are pretty negative towards it.

  • They are great for simply documenting what you see, they will never be able to compete with DSLR or Light Field tech.

  • Selfies are stupid and the word itself, in my opinion.

    • I use phones for random pictures. Cameras for events and pictures that just call for a higher quality image. I don't consider myself a photographer. As well as I certainly don't hate on photographers who use smartphones. Its all just preference to me I supoose. Just as long as they've captured a truly incredible image that I find interesting. Eh, there's my two cents if they mean anything.

I believe you can't be a professional photographer if you're just someone posting iPhone pics on IG. But you can take some amazong photos with iPhones, they're just low res.

Some pics taken from cell phones or iPods aren't bad. It just mostly depends on how many pixels they have. But cameras do give the best results.

      • I would not call using your cell phone to take pictures "photography" in the same way a professional photographer does.
