So, With the new patch effectively removing the ability to obtain ascendant shards from the Queen's armour, please explain something.
Why would anyone with legendary armor ever even bother. There is literally ZERO reward, ZERO reason, to continue to do these missions now that those of us who already had legendary equipment before the event can no longer obtain rare and MUCH NEEDED ascendant shards.
Goddamn ridiculous.

Because the ship and sniper you get will become the rarest items in the game

It would be cool if the incentive was an audience with the queen. But I'd be a pissed mofo if it was required rank3 and no one was told. Don't get me with the title bc that was misleading after you start doing them.

Why would anyone bother? Experience. Plain and simple. Epic tier mission provide a great deal more experience due to their difficulty. Experience = Motes = Exotics

12 RepliesI was actually under the impression this was an event for shards. Since the only realistic drops are the head and chest armour over and over again (no ship or Supremacy for me) I believed the point of getting repeated pieces was to break them down into shards. I can't be the only one who thought this was by design. It was hardly an exploit when you could still only get a limited amount per day anyway. Reduce it to one shard per armour break if you must (six shards a day max seems fine), but taking them away completely? Congratulations, you just rendered Kill Orders even more pointless. My solution: Throw more items, like the leg and arm parts we know are in the data, into the prize pool, and make it one shard per break. Simples!

1 ReplyDo we still get shards from non-queen purple legendary gear?
-
2 RepliesThe first time I got the chest piece I was pleased. I've got 11 of them now. Nothing else. I wouldn't mind getting no shards for dismantling them, if I ever got a different reward.

2 RepliesI agree with you BUNGIE got me mad when they changed this. I have 500+ sapphure wire. I DONT NEEDD MORE BUNGIE I NEED FREAKING SHARDS CUz materials are clearly all i need on legendary and exotic and its already a pain finding a good amount of it!!

3 RepliesSo this is off topic but epic You can farm on the first moon mission (level 20 mode is best): the dark beyond. Go to the cutscene where you find the dead guardian and then all those thralls, a couple acolytes, and a yellow-class knight, kill everything except the knight and then let it kill you. After that you will respawn and then you can do it all again! Perks of this include: -short amount of time compared to strikes and the raid (up to 30 engrams an hour) -lots of loot to disassemble for parts -occasional exotics (got about 5 in a week) -high glimmer boost -best place for overcharge and hive killing bounties -STRANGE COINS! Using this method I got hawkmoon the last word, and many other good loots so enjoy!

The missions are kind of fun I like the. Elemental burn modifiers I have been keeping one type of every element of every type of weapon so I can just -blam!- the bosses at the end so if there was even a chance of getting ascendant materials or if you got rep and or Xp would do them. If you under stand the mechanics of the modifiers on the missions they are really not hard at all.
