For ANYONE who can’t be asked to listen to a dungeon guide

I hope this helps :) First encounter : find the grim (truthkeeper) in one of 4 rooms. He then drops a symbol. Find that symbol in any of the other rooms including the same one he was in. Choose one of the 3 mirrors in the centre room and connect that to the symbol room connecting the main mirror to the symbol wheel. ALSO kill subjugators to obtain lenses. Some may take up to 5. After this repeat 2 more times. Then another whole sequence of that after 3 symbols are done. Encounter finished. Encounter 2 : kill wizards to gain resonance. Same as Vow of disciple at the beginning! Depending how much you pick up (max being 3) will depend on how many rotations u need for a symbol. The symbols that worked best for me is stop, stop, stop and kill. (If ur gonna comment negative stuff dont bother commenting at all thanks👍🏼) Stop means no ad spawns for a while. kill starts a long dps phase. Hive eyes (savathun) is the worst symbol as it can constantly spawn ogres. Be aware! But match the symbols I have put there and do damage! Some eyes may close but that’s ok :) he has a ton of health but with sleeper and queensbreaker it shouldn’t be that bad! Encounter 3 : this is the easiest in my opinion. The circle of symbols in the middle tell a story. Split it in half down the middle. Left and right each has 3. Now use your destiny knowledge to see what’s a lie and what’s the truth. For example : pyramid kill witness (left) traveller give light (right) left is a lie clearly. So you look at the symbols on that circle. And depending on the locations you want to light them symbols up on the lying side. And then unlight the symbols on the true side. Repeat what u did in the first encounter without all the lenses and stuff. A truthkeeper will spawn in case you’re stuck. Kill the stasis psions to remove the strand crux’s jamming the mirror. Once completed successfully prepare yourself for damage. Someone activates the circle in middle and then hide behind a pillar any pillar as the room will light up draining the bosses shield. After that do damage! Repeat over and over until done! If you don’t want to quickly find the lie on the symbol wheel then in one of the side rooms will be a truth teller. Kill him and it’ll show a symbol as to which side is the truth and that’s the side you disable the symbols on. Good luck guardian. I struggle to word stuff so that’s the best I can do

      • Tired of mini raids tbh. They need to go back to shattered throne/avarice style dungeons. A simple get in, kill things, do a a few mechanics, progress through to the boss, get loot. Soloing this one won't be worth the headache unfortunately. Gg bongo.

        • The third encounter can be simplified more, 3 symbols are left and three are right. Flying add drops one symbol, whatever side that symbol is, needs to be turned off. And the opposite side three symbols need to be turned on. Make sure any unlisted symbols are not on as well. Don't need to know destiny lore or try to piece together a story mid battle. Works for my fireteam. And we go under mid to start DPS with one person hitting the button.

            Just the first encounter sounds tedious. Like …. take all the rocks from this side of the quarry to the other side. When you’re done take them back to the other side. Continue to do so until your shift is done. Just tedious and annoying….and why?? Uselessly time consuming

              If you require people to do homework and watch a vid and have a meta load out on a new activity that's only been out for a few days your delusional and please don't demand people play to your convenience that is the very toxic mentality that's killing the game...going in and figuring out things and having fun is the whole point of playing a game if it requires one to look up everything first what's the point of playing at all so please go back to YouTube and leave the gaming to the gamers Tirade sorry I'm just tired of seeing meta eleist garbage everywhere and knee jerked a post

                • At the rate they’re losing players this dungeon is a big L when it comes to getting them back or finding new players. With bringing the Dreadnaught back they missed a big opportunity to make it a seasonal Dungeon and get away from the absolute ridiculous mechanics that have followed every single new piece of content.

                    TY for the guide. But I think there's even greater value, for Bungie anyway, in the replies. I pray they read them. Bungie is clearly hell-bent on getting more people to engage in endgame content. Makes sense, keep people engaged and playing after they've finished all the increasingly boring seasonal stuff. But their approach is to make dungeons harder and more complicated? Jesus! If you're reading this, Bungie, please realize that a significant percentage of your player base is older than that of other games. But lucky you... because WE HAVE MONEY THAT WE CAN AND WILL SPEND on overpriced Eververse crap and, more importantly, worthy charitable causes. But we also have lives and are mostly uninterested in mini raids. WE JUST WANNA ABSENT MINDEDLY SHOOT SH*T without need to adopt new meta builds all the time, or watch YouTube videos before playing every new activity, or slow down teammates every run until we've learned all the crazy mechanics and best loadouts... which we usually achieve by simply saying, "F--k this. Not worth it."

                      • basically you get a 3 man raid not a new dungeon further pushing players away from destiny. its like dual destiny similar mechanics . and that went over like a ton of bricks . but l get why bungie is doing it ,low player base there trying to hang on to the few that still raid. but now the none raid players have even less reasons to play destiny. so this will hurt bungie in any future releases .

                          • Contest mode final boss completion awards the exotic?? Is it very difficult to clear the final boss only in contest mode after watching the fallout play tutorial video?? I am asking cuz VH final boss contest was outright impossible for me… so don’t wanna waste my time trying and then feeling bad not to be able to pull it off

                            • Thx for some of the guide but I don’t feel like supporting any streamers. And we need to steer away from streamers so bungie can learn to stop relying on streamers to push out contents, if that can ever happen. Gotta start somewhere in letting bungie know they need to listen to the actual player base which makes up a larger numbers than the total numbers of streamers to make better contents that actually fit better for the player base.

                                Sounds like a mini raid more than a dungeon but thanks for the tips Kinda bad it's another piece of content that relys on guides though no wonder games dead

                                • I truly miss the older style of dungeons because they were fun. Now dungeons have turned into less of a guns blazing with some puzzle solving to now being more puzzle solving and tedium.

                                  • I really wish dungeons were more like exotic missions for fireteams. I just find the whole puzzle thing incredibly boring. Might be interesting the first time but after that it's just a time consuming chore - when all you want to do is shoot some stuff.

                                          • Commune is bad. All you're doing is spawning the "bees" when you set that. Just go Stop for every lock but the final one, which is Kill to begin damage phase. You already have the longest DPS phase possible by locking in anything in the first three slots, so why create a larger headache? Stop perpetuating misinformation from streamers who managed to stumble through encounters despite dealing with things they didn't have to. For the final boss, you don't have to bother "figuring out the story." Just find the Grym, kill it, and black-out the half of the dial that holds the symbol he drops. Light up the other half. It's that easy. Why must people overcomplicate everything?

                                                Second encounter is hands down harder than the last. The DPS phase is long but it’s got a massive amount of health, and accidentally landing on a Hive rune with its constant ogre spawns is gonna be 10x worse solo. Last encounter has some pinch points (like the threadlings + slow psions, or having to dump special ammo to get into the right room, or dealing with the miniboss Subjugators in the right and left rooms) but overall there’s a lot less risk. The dunk animation on encounter 2 alone is problematic A doable solo. Likely on par with Warlords Ruin. But still rough. Encounter 1 seems pretty free though with a decent build.
