Power creep needs to STOP

It is really hurting the experience of the game and it’s just not fun as it used to be. QUIT making it soo annoying such as the new annoying modifiers, please remove those ASAP

    • No. It gives some of us stuff to do. What DOES need to stop is BungLe purposefully throttling our leveling by forcing 8 pinnacle pairs of boots a week....

      • Power creep is an inevtiable part of a game like this, otherwise you have no reason to grind new gear.

Your wording may a bit off or my understanding is involving power creep and how you refer to it. My understanding with d2 it's a term used to nerf stuff because the top % of players are abusing it and get bored or lfg is full of use this or boot because they want a quick run ,when it comes to d2 that's how I see the term power creep being used in d2 anyway, which isn't tbh exactly what power creep is atall My personal take is: Bungie need to stop nerfing stuff that's doing well in pve just to keep no lifers happy that play 24/7, no one is forcing the top % of players to use the meta if they want a challange wear all blue gear and stop asking for nerfs just to gatekeep the 95% of the playerbase because they are bored ,make money from carrys ,want to feel special on a dead game or the worst kind of streamers not all but some that benefit from all of the above Make it a trend to do speed runs on endgame content wearing all blues be the ultra chad way of showing off in d2 and open up more of the content for other players

        • They should just allow us to have maximum power … that would be fun

          • It's a very weird thing when you realise we are stronger than we've ever been and at the same time weaker by being handicapped. Wish they'd just pick a direction and stick with it.

            • Since no one below stated what power creep actually is I will for you. Power Creep occurs from the guardian side not the enemy. It happens because the player needs to be influenced to go chase new loot because it is better either by perks or stats. Ultimately making us stronger and stronger. Today's players don't just do an activity for the sake of it regardless of how fun they make it. Either way, unlike in D1 there isn't sunsetting from year to year so in order keep the game populated the loot quality/stregth has to warrant the time it took to get it. To match the ever growing power we have the enemies need to match to balance so players don't smash through everything lessening the time spent:loot quality ratio. Individual skill must be the X factor to decide whether or not you were succesxful not just simply the whole team is over powered because of the weapons and anyone can get it. That is why easy activities use add density with simple mechics ie throw ball or stand on plate to balance. As you go into raid or dungeon difficulty (new ones) the player has to juggle infinite spawning adds and mechanics. As an example Shattered Throne is shoot enemies in order/ dunk balls / kill knights but when it released it had a higher light level than the raid and was only available 1 week ever 3 weeks. Players didnt have artifacts and you had to grind and get lucky or you went in severely under leveled and tried your best. Then look at Vespers Host there are 3 different mechanics and adds that never quit spawning with multiple ways to auto wipe the whole team. This is what it takes to balance so players expeirence the same relative difficulty in the sandbox the dungeon was released in. That is mirror of what over tuning our guardian looks like from a macro level. The new player looks at all of them from new sandbox level and thinks wow this one is easy and this one was hard. In actualty they felt the same at release because rampage was the best in slot perk at the time.

            • I truly don't think you know what power creep is or means, hint hint its nothing to do with the difficulty of the bad guys.

            • Its never going to stop. This community wants to feel like over powered gods because they are mindless and skillless players. They want everything handed to them and do want to get better with skill. Welcome to modern gaming.

Power creep is so they can say “look how long people are playing our game!” It will never be removed unfortunately.

                  • Power creep is designing an entire activity (Reckoning) around super-regen exotics. The new modifiers are annoying just to be annoying since there’s zero reason to even do the strike playlist.
