IB Tribute suxxxxxx
I will be the first to admit that I’m not the best PvP player. But, who in their right mind wants to load in an IB game right now? Literally no one. Tribute is the worst game mode for Iron Banner. For everyone, myself included, attempting to work on the Triumph, this game mode makes it almost impossible to get wins. BRING BACK CONTROL!!

Tribute was received so badly the first time it was implemented for Iron Banner that Bungie added Control as an option a couple of days later. Bungie obviously listened and learned from this experience by deciding to run IB Control for a week followed by a week of Tribute. 🤔 I guess that if engagement has been high enough for the Tribute week then Bungie will see it as a success.

It’s not bad. Had some fun games this week. Finished catalyst on my mida and jade rabbit. Never touched those 2 till this week. Btw Jade rabbit slaps like -blam!- cheeks. It’s a powerhouse especially long range maps

4 RepliesI put the effort in for the 2 resets during IB Control. In the couple of matches I played of this mode, most players are just going for kills and not collecting the tributes, or are collecting tributes but not banking. Most boring mode ever which, thankfully, I don’t need to play anymore!

Campers fest.. they need to add penalty to players who dont play the objectives. i play the objectives and it's more than annoying, run to bank bank change spot just when i was trying to bank because you stupidly need to hold action 2-3 secs to banks while somes just wait to shoot someone trying to bank so bank moved i cross the entire map to bank and 3 enemies spawn around me.. guess what happen?... ohh and i forgot to say that if a teammates bank well you waste your time banking you need to wait 2 sec to be able to bank while campers team shot you.. this is the stupidest mode i ever play in a pvp game..

Not a big fan, but I dont think it's a bad game mode, just that ppl aren't tactically minded enough to play it effectively, which makes it a bad experience

as I was chasing pinnacles, the grind to 2000, IB seemed a logical place to get multiple's of. Galvanized my Iron Lord seal again, and found the mode actually kinda nice, different but it wasn't rift. Control is meh been there done that. But now that that's over unless there's some "new" loot probably won't step foot in there again.

I don't disagree, but really control is just clash with Letters... IB should be just straight-out clash. Objectives is way too hard for this bunch. I'd be more happy about the PVP modes if we that play the objective got more XP or bonus of sorts.

Everyone hates it, easily the worst D2 PVP game mode I have ever played, I have never won a single tribute match, even when I'm try harding and banking as much as I can and at the top of the leaderboard.

2 RepliesI have seen a lot of posts like this one with regards to the Tribute game mode. Mostly posts disliking it. I decided to give it a go & form my own opinion. I played maybe 20 IB matches across Hunter and Warlock on Saturday. I dunno. It’s nothing special. Kill guardians, grab crests, bank them. Same in game problems with regard to lag and matchmaking are noticeable but hell we’ve had these issues for over 10yrs so pretty much used to the inconsistency from game to game. The pinnacle drops are what really caused me to shake my head though. All my pinnacle drops have been almost exclusively primary weapons. I believe I had 2 energy weapons drop. The bow. No heavy, no armour. Has this been mentioned by anyone else or am I just lucky? Seems like an algorithm issue to me. Anyways, it’s the same ole IB. It’s laggy. The matchmaking is all over the place. The drops are poor. Good time waster is the positive takeaway from playing.

I honestly have a hunch that this gametype made from the response of Fortress. I honestly prefer Fortress even with Titans having the superior defences and at least it’s difficult to farm kills in Fortress without possibly throwing. If I don’t see Fortress in this Episode lifespan, I’m gonna assume it was replaced with tribute.

I think it’d be better on smaller maps only, and if banking was instant instead of holding down a button while your getting blast 6 ways to Sunday.
