I believe pre orders have been stalled due to a multitude of reasons Lightfall namely but also, the dlc launches in 4 months. Many people are holding off to it because why rush into it when you have 4 months to think about it. That and it's near march, taxes are on the way in my country so many people don't know if they have to pay extra yet Multitude of reasons including people felt really screwed over since shadowkeep (Renewed pvp focus) and lightfall again, with its stories, coming out from witch Queen which was a good dlc compared to destiny standards

Can’t speak to global numbers… but I pre ordered all prior dlc when they dropped…. Not this one though. Not even sure I will purchase it.

Someone watched a video by a D2 content creater lol. Player interest went down as it should with greed driven and player disrespecting time decisions left and right from Bungie. I hope their revenue numbers force them to sell the ip as they did with halo back in the day. I want a proper dev to try and revive this formerly awesome franchise. My faith in Bungie has been lost entirely 4 years ago. Reputation BEYOND repair.

It can’t track people who use private profiles so its not true numbers and its unknown how many private accounts there are As well when you pre-order on steam and refund it’s possible the emblem stayed and is still being tracked by the bot

4 RepliesWhat it means is Bungie is still lacking expected preorders. The player community has seriously lost faith in Bungie's ability to deliver the next expansion. We are speaking with our wallets en-mass. The haters will tell you we are scrubs and bungie catered the game to us for years and we should get over ourselves. I say we are standing up for for what we want and expect from a game company. They will not deliver, we will not play, or pay. Go figure, 45% miss in revenue, more than 100 devs laid off, and the leader of the dev team no longer working for bungie, or planning to leave the company, maybe not so voluntarily. Might be something to our dislike of what they are doing. The company is in a bad place and rather then revert the changes that players do not like, Bungie is staying the course, like we will cave in the end. NOT looking that way.

This is interesting: the preorders for Witch Queen & lightfall are essentially flat i.e. Witch Queen didn't actually lead to any real subscriber growth.

People are angry that Bungie did not respect their time, money, or input until their back was against a wall. Now it seems disingenuous. I think there are lots of players who are ready to show Bungie the same kind of apathy that Bungie has shown them all these years.

4 RepliesI learned my lesson after I pre-ordered ME: Andromeda. So embarrassing. I reckon more than a few learned their lesson after pre-ordering Lightfall. Personally, Final Shape would have to drop with plenty of significant changes to even warrant a purchase, not to mention a pre-order. I’m not so much worried about content, the game itself is just @$$ now. It’s been an awful year. Too many nerfs, no fun; no buy.

2 RepliesI don't think anyone should pre-order TFS, as players we were lied to so much during the Lightfall marketing drive it made me sick. I still feel those of us who paid full price for Lightfall should get a 50% refund. I will wait until TFS comes out, then I will make whatever purchasing decision I have to make about TFS at that time. Boy, were we marketed a pos when it came to Lightfall. I have enjoyed most of the seasons this year, but remember, they are a separate purchase from the campaign.
