With lightfall came a sweep of changes to the difficulty of the game. I have 3600 hours invested in Destiny 2, As a disabled person, I now find the game just too hard. The exotic amour is locked behind content I physically find too stressful to do. At least in the past, I could level my character to get to a point where they were powerful enough it was possible for me to complete legend lost sector's. I have paid for a full year's worth of content I now fear, I will not play. Please roll back these changes so I can play the game I have come to enjoy so much. Either that or consider a refund for people like me.

4 RepliesI feel you. Destiny is more fun with friends. If you’re looking to join a casual friendly clan hmu.

1 ReplyEdited by noobistheway: 4/1/2023 11:56:32 AMBungie has always made the game difficult for the casual player. You are not their target. The whales are. They will never go and make the game easier for disabled persons since that is not in their best interest. If everyone could easily do content then they (Bungie) wouldnt know what to do.

1 ReplyYep, they didn't show any consideration for the different styles and abilities of players. They should have added extra levels of difficulty, not just increase difficulty. Doing that was bound to annoy some people and drive others away for good.
-
1 ReplyHey, just wanted to say you're welcome in this community. Don't pay attention to the trolls. Bungie should think about accessibility more.
-
First: No. Second: Bungie has stated that they're changing certain enemy health and all that. Third: The game is fun to play, every now and then, don't burn yourself out

It’s crazy how partition is easier than neomuna patrol I shouldn’t be laying 3 hc shots into a basic -blam!- cabal guy in patrol

1 ReplyWell, after 8 years you would think this business would design mechanics to make challenges for certain activities. But, they think spamming timers, champions, and designing a game to be a bullet sponge is called "creating a challenge". What can anyone do or say with that mentality 🤷♂️ It's funny but not if that makes any sense that they have had since 2007, D1 and many other developers to learn from.

It's hard for most people. It's not fun. Reminds me of release and how off the mark they were then. If they had any competition right now they'd be toast.
-
You are not alone with this, thousands of players have made similar comment. Unfortunately Bungie's response has been at best mediocre and trivial.
-
This game is not even in the ball park of hard avalon is the only thing that caused even a minor struggle
-
Or just play better and you’ll be fine?

Edited by conkus805: 4/1/2023 3:17:38 AMI mean, it's clear bungie are not able to improve their ai to make the game more difficult. they chose the easy way, so we as consumers either have to deal with it, or up our game and adapt. that's the reality of the situation. but, to buy a product before you see what it's about then complain its too hard and want a refund isn't how life works. sucks, but that's life. you live and hopefully learn.

To increase player power and bridge the gap between the skill floor and the skill celing. Bad players don’t just bring themselves down - they bring down their whole team. Power levels help bridge that gap and keep everyone on a level playing field while the celing is supposed to reward better players with more. Now all it does is punish everyone under the celing. The current reward system for high skilled play is akin to being told you won’t be getting bent over with a belt for getting an A- on your report card. Avoiding punishment isn’t a reward - it’s sadism.

At least in the past, I could level my character to get to a point where they were powerful enough it was possible for me to complete legend lost sector's.
You can still do that. Unlike other elected difficulty content, Legend and Master Lost Sectors have no level cap.

What disability? I have issues to and new raids are rough. Like physically or mentally? Mentally for me just curious.

4 RepliesLife isn't fair. For most people this game is too easy. What should they do? Make the game easier for the few people like yourself and ruin it for millions of others? I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Im really busy with work and family. I get to play 6 hours a week usually and that's because I wake up at 4am on weekends losing my sleep to play. Should I demand that they make everything in the game 10x shorter so I'm able to complete it? Or do I just say well I used to be able to have fun and have a lot of awesome memories but now I'll just enjoy what I can.

Aorry to hear about that. The challenge and difficulty should be left up to the player to seek out. If most find it too easy they should add in another difficulty teir at the skill ceiling, not force players into un-fun situations by raising the floor, but they also lowered the ceiling as well now. you should try Warframe, or Genshin impact. That scratched the loot collection itch for me, maybe it will help you as well. Plus their community isn't like this one, full of girthy dioks

There should be scaling difficulty modes and when it comes to general areas and seasonal activities the first difficulty mode should be accessible to unoptimized builds, new players, matchmade teams, and people with disabilities. Then each layer of difficulty above that would be tuned to require more and more things such as experienced players, optimized builds, premade team compositions. I'm shocked at this studio just not getting that. Did the industry veterans all leave?
