So, the kiss made you mad.
First, take a deep breath, consider the following. The fictional characters cant hurt you.
Second, you do not have to play the game 24/7, so many of the posts here are so clearly from burnt out and possibly addicted people, it is a game folks, learn to take breaks.
Third, no the season wasn't bad, wasn't the best either. The season was narratively short and sweet, nothing too major as far events happened and thats perfectly fine.
"But X pvp-focused streamer said this." I do not care what the content monkeys want since their opinion is incredibly biased simply towards their personal profit, i mean do you seriously expect me to take someone who actually believes we need Destiny 3 seriously? PVP is boring and the game would be much better if it was removed, if for nothing else then for getting rid of the ever-complaining PVP community who treats the crucible as if being good will get them laid, it's no coincidence that they're the most toxic, annoying and harassing part of the entire community after all.
"But Nezarec got turned into tea." Just say you weren't paying attention. Even if we ignore the fact that it was clear that Nezarec was dead to begin with LONG before this season dropped (i mean the lore pieces clearly stated TOMBS of Nezarec.) Nezarec was never even stated to be turned into anything. Misraaks extracted the darkness from his reliquaries and made the essence, he didnt go all Hannibal Lecter and actually grind the pieces of Nezarec.
Now i'm not going to tell you "Buy Lightfall" or "Cancel Lightfall". The very notion of internet users thinking that they should dictate what others do with their money is plain stupid. Do what you deem best for yourselves and above all take care of yourselves.
TLDR: Game was good, season was good, nothing came out of left field if you paid attention. PVP is a cancer that is killing the game. Stop going crazy over a kiss between two men who were always said to be in love with each other.

People are acting like Nezarec is some giant figure that was reduced to nothing, but he was literally dead & chopped up into jars already.

They are stupidly slow for fixing bugs. Or they dont fix it at all (celestial fire + sunbracers? Helloo? 2 seasons already and no fix!!!!) New “content” is being released quite bugged compared with previous years. They mindlessly nerf/buff stuff without testing. Is a mess bro. I love destiny universe, but Bungie’s attitude just killed it.

1 ReplyIt’s not necessarily the fact that they kissed. It’s the fact that Bungie changed what they had (a brothers in arms type of relationship) to what it is now just to appeal to the masses and make themselves look good.

Was out of place, meaning why after everything, from finding pieces of some corpse, to a war of culture then to a family dilemma, so, why did it suddenly have something to do with two characters that this season had very little interaction with a love story

Forced gay relationships for the sake of bonus points with certain communities is laughable, and in the end nobody really cares. Of course there's also the people who care too much. All in all, lazy writing, boring season, the list trails on.

I don’t follow this game much because bungie has been butchering the story ever since they fired the original writer and rewrote the first game in under a year but weren’t they both vanguard? And if so isn’t that a conflict of interest if they are involved or am I missing something? And also I swear at some point the story referred to their relationship as brotherly but now they are gay? Is it even possible for saint to be gay as an exo? Are exo’s even atomically correct? I mean there’s a lot of confusion and questions left after whatever just happened. The story and season were most definitely trash or the player count wouldn’t be so stupid low. And instead of giving us content that has been funded by all the eververse cosmetics they keep coming out with and selling every season along with whatever other trinkets we get things like the “upgrade the eliksni quarter” or the oh so amazing telesto event. It’s sad to say but it seriously feels like they are trying to kill their own game on purpose but there’s too many of us that still enjoy parts of it enough at least to keep playing whatever part of the game we enjoy despite them trying their hardest to make each part of the game no longer fun

2 RepliesD3 is absolutely needed hopefully at the end of the saga and drop old gen consoles. The server architecture of this game is showing its age. Game would be more dead than it already is w/o PVP. Lots of end game PVE players grind end game content for their PVP rolls. Otherwise why bother getting better rolls when PVE contend is brain dead easy with stock weaponry. PVP carries this game when the season is slow - its the only dynamic thing left once raids/dungeons are done.

No problems with the kiss whatsoever and I thought this season story was fine, the activity however was absolutely boring as hell after the first week or so. Especially with the added "kill xxx" champions/ruffians required for some of the triumphs only for them to nerf the requirements at the last minute before the season ended 😅😅 I actually thought Nezarec getting turned into tea was kind of funny. A friend of mine made a comment during the cutscene that boiled down to, "See, bungie hates Warlocks so much they literally turned one of our best into a teabag and made another warlock drink it."
