Cry Me A River...
Despite what some professional whiners are saying, imho this version of D2 PvP is easily the best since, well, the last time SBMM was a thang.
I've played multiple games of Control over the weekend, firstly to get the stasis seasonal bounty and then just for the fun of it. And that's what it's been, fun.
Another thing, in all those games there's only been one 'mercy'. In the main the matches are much tighter with the lead flip-flopping between the teams right down to the wire.
So thanks, Bungie, and please don't alter PvP back to CBMM - let us average Joes and Jills have our fun.
Also, if anyone want's to start a crowdfunder to buy tissues for crybaby streamers, I'll kick in a coupla bucks...

I have to admit, as an average Joe, Crucible has been more playable for me of late. I actually eschewed my usual "three and out" to play a few more. Yesterday I lost a match and still had a 2.08 efficiency and 1.67 KDR. For me, that is unheard of as I usually hover with efficiency on either side of 1.0 with a total KD usually below 1. In two games this past weekend my team did get mercy'd. In those matches, the best enemy KD was 20.0, second best was 16.0. No one on my team did better than 1.0. My season 18 KD is .73 right now with 1.18 efficiency over 24 games (166/207).

SBMM is more fun for me but it would be better if we had dedicated servers.

Meta is bad atm because itd forcing campy long range engagements but other than that yes it is good.

8 RepliesIt's the best for you maybe and maybe some others but it's not the best for everyone else. Your likes and dislikes isn't the same as everyone else. For example you might like pickles but the guy next to you doesn't like the same brand of pickles as you. Nothing wrong with him not liking the pickle you like. But its up to the store/manufacturer if they change the pickles you like and the other fuy dislikes. Either accept you have a different taste in pickles from others. Or don't make complain about others not liking the same pickle as you.

It's good for you. But control is borderline unplayable now that I'm penalized for a lack of basic functionality. Can't skip or filter out maps that are -blam!-, can't ensure not being matched against fireteam and get banned for not wanting to waste the time it'll take for them to murder me, can't leave if a lobby is being laggy or if there's someone being REALLY suspect. And this is on top of more general latency in matches. There's no longer a permanent Casual mode for D2 that doesn't drastically change the rules of the game.
