I feel like void hunters should get a blade melee, using the knives from that one super. Perhaps it could have 2 charges (however, i see how that could be excessive) and debuff the target with weaken or suppression, and spread the effect if the target is already affected. Cool idea, or no?

What about a melee ability thats gets expended only on a melee kill like Combination Blow on Arcstrider except instead of health regen and dodge energy coming back you just turn invisible. Kind of like Blink Strike's escape artist variant from D1
-
Meanwhile warlocks have one melee on two different classes and two on the other two. I think they’ve pushed hunters enough at this point
-
Sounds like a pretty good idea to me.
-
bump for a new melee.
-
3 RepliesThey need to bring back poison smoke bombs or give us a poison melee knife attack and have it synergize with khepris sting.
-
Arc hunters could use a new melee, at least void does something and doesn’t dictate the rest of your build to you.
-
2 Repliessemi-related, Hunters also need a grenade aspect for a Light subclass, possibly Titans too
-
A void blade melee hit that makes enemies volatile, including a radius from the initial target. Basically like the titan banner shield subclass used to work. The smoke already weakens the enemy. So a volatile melee would be cool.
-
2 RepliesSame with void warlocks. For some reason they just scrap the "normal melee abilities" on the warlock. Stasis only has ranged Solar only has ranged (snap and celestial) Void only has ranged Arc is the only one with a close range melee. Why bungie?
-
Yes! I was just thing that! maybe something like blink strike from D1? It fits the bill perfectly.
-
Would be cool to have some kind of flying arrow like Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy.
-
1 ReplyAll I heard was tether sucks in pvp and Bungie should fix it...
-
1 ReplyI like the idea of the knives from spectral blades, everything else is a huge no. We don’t need another reason to despise hunters. Seriously do you guys just play the game wanting to break pvp for no reason? Pvp is annoying as it is, no need to make it worse

6 RepliesEdited by Luigigod: 9/4/2022 7:22:21 PMIs trapper's ambush not considered a second melee? it consumes a melee charge, weaken's enemies, and makes you and your allies invisible also a melee that can suppress would absolutely be busted in crucible, especially a hunter one that you can get back for free with gambler's dodge; it would completely shut down any and all supers- and you want TWO of them?

4 RepliesEdited by hate n payne: 9/4/2022 1:24:35 PMEach subclass should have a close, mid and long range melee option. As the the melee obtain a further range, it should improve in targeting with reduce power. Targeting should be strong for normal melees. Same can be applied for supers ie Support, Shutdown and Roaming.
-
2 RepliesBungie should also do something about the Hunters Stasis melee. It's supposed to be used only after your opponent is frozen, which is too situational.
-
11 RepliesJust no. Devs need to actually spend some time on Warlock and Titan kits for once. 3.0’s have felt like “let’s do what we can to buff hunters everywhere… oh crap, titans and warlocks still play the game. Maybe we can build them something over lunch.”
-
Um no....
-
9 RepliesNo it needs to be an arm mounted crossbow with minor tracking and marks the enemy it hits like with tether, killing the marked target gives devour
-
1 ReplyI think all subclasses for all classes should have at least 2 melee options, for variety.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Itcus: 9/4/2022 2:01:51 PMNo! Void Hunter is about stealth. We already have a charged melee and it's for that purpose. You wanna use it differently? Use an exotic that changes its function. OR, mind blowing revelation, play another class. Void Hunter melee is fine how it is.
-
That would be pretty cool and I don't even play Hunter. Maybe it could be a void blink strike animation?
-
20 RepliesOnly if warlocks get a second one too.
-
4 RepliesEdited by Spawn: 9/4/2022 4:47:14 PMInteresting idea I read if a throwable void knife (dagger?) existed and would suppress targets on hit. Only other ways to suppress from just the Void Hunter kit are Suppression Grenades and Mobius Tether.

6 RepliesThat would break PvP. Being able to melee someone out of their super is insanely broken. Warlocks had that with stasis once upon a time and they nerfed it, twice.
