Another Trials weekend has come and gone. Like the weekends before this one was a little bit harder for my team to hit flawless than the one previous. With that in mind I'm here to post my thoughts on making Trials a worthwhile experience for everyone once again:
1. Do away with Freelance and adjust matchmaking parameters so that solos and duos preferentially match each other, but it is still possible for them to match 3 stacks if there are no other good connections available within few minutes of queue time. Leave the queue counter off.
2. Keep flawless queue as it is, but push anyone into it once they have 7 consecutive wins for the weekend, regardless of card state. Alternatively don't allow card resetting without a loss. This is still abusable, but hopefully it reduce the card resetting problem.
3. Allow any 7 win card to be turned into Saint-14 for a random roll of the adept in rotation, regardless of whether or was flawed or not. If your card was flawless give a chance for extra perks in columns 3 or 4.
4. For those that go flawless give Lighthouse drops an garantee random extra perk in column 3 or 4 or both. Also add a substantial number of of additonal cosmetics including ships, sparrows, ghosts, projections, shaders, emblems, transmat effects, armor ornaments and legendary weapon ornaments to the Lighthouse chest. Give people tons of options for flexing their having gone to the Lighthouse.
5. Leave flawless pool farming as is, but give the weapon drops when farming a 7 win card in the flawless pool a chance for extra column 3 and 4 perks.
These changes make it so everyone's time us respected, and gives high skill players numerous rewards that are exclusive to going flawless, plus gives them better results from farming. The only people this night hurt are people doing multiple carries.

That sounds good. They should do that. They should do something, that's for sure.

3 RepliesIt's wild Destiny 2 is a co-op Fps but so many people think it's a Single-Player melee spammer simulator. Get rid of Free Lance and Flawless pool. If you solo que you should know what your getting into DESTINY IS A CO-OP FPS... Flawless Pool doesn't get more people flawless and destroys replayability for average players.

You know what it needs….. sbmm :)

9 RepliesI agree with most of this except 3. It devalues the "idea" of flawless if a new light who played for three hours rolls up with an adept trials weapon thinking he's the goat. Honestly adpets aren't all that better tbh. Imo crafted weapons far surpass adepts, "oh look at my fancy plus ten range mod" isn't really all that better.

I can somewhat agree on everything but keeping flawless pool. Add a MM system that prioritizes matching your fireteam and it’s definitely not needed.

Remove trials freelance and the flawless pool!

One of these days I'll post something not filled with typos... But today is not that day.
