5 RepliesBS. That’s what you get when you hire a bunch of people who are super sensitive with victim mentalities. I don’t believe this article one bit. I mean, I believe that people are complaining, but I can just about imagine what type of people they are with how this game celebrates so many extreme left views. You look at them wrong and they want to get you fired.

1 ReplyForced inclusion will be the death of American business. The shift from equality to equity only creates a space of victimhood for all parties involved. If you are applying for a job that touts Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as the most important trait... just run. It will most certainly be a toxic unproductive work culture. In an equality based work environment the best person is hired for the job and identity politics have no place.

17 RepliesI like how everyone here just ignores the lines from this article about things improving in a sad attempt to liken Bungie to Activision. It's also incredibly ironic that the people who used Veterans Day to attack trans identity are complaining about virtue signaling. If only you hogs could understand how laughably pathetic and transparent you were. Almost none of these comments are good faith. You losers should get a different hobby because this clearly isn't helping you.

Tbh this isn’t really surprising.

4 RepliesThe game is on fire🔥! Now the company is also on fire🔥! Scandalous!!! I say let it burn to the ground!😁 But that's just me. 🍿?

28 RepliesIm sorely dissapointed and yet not suprised that bungie has skeletons in the closet. All the posturing, all the finger pointing, all the clout chasing, all the distractions about diversity...all because they have had abuse in their workplace. This is why we say to stay off of social media. This is why we say to stop getting involved in political agendas. This is ehy we say to focus on your game. This is why people are angry at bungie. I believe these people. I have evidence to support this as well. Tell PT at forbes that he has another chance at doing his job right. Hold bungie accountable. They need to prove themselves. They can do better.

1 ReplyYou mean all that virtue-signaling over the last year didn’t come from a genuine place? *shocked pikachu face*

Edited by AoIcrom: 12/14/2021 12:04:42 AMAre we sure it’s not just people being offended? So any job requires some form of pressure if the employees are doing a -blam!- job, because remember that are being paid to do the work, if you fail then you suffer the consequences. So it seems that they are just being yelled at for doing a bad job and now say it’s toxic and abusive.

Or this article: https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-contractor-reveals-how-the-studio-downgraded-his-destiny-credit-then-shadowbanned-him-from-future-work/ Bungie is a company in the lucrative business, that includes hiring cheap labor and releasing half-baked games.

1 ReplyEdited by GreenWeenie: 12/11/2021 7:38:03 PMI don’t give a -blam!- if the person making it has a purple duck growing out of their left eye socket; just make the game fun.

1 ReplyThe culture at Bungie is just a terrible as their business practices.

4 RepliesJust today I had someone here imply they were the boss by saying they would do what I asked when and how they wanted to. The kid told me that if I wanted it done my way I could get up and do it myself. I wrapped up an empty box in nice Christmas wrapping and called the kid to my room. Told him to open his gift now. When he found an empty box I told him to choose wisely who follows whose instructions around here cause life becomes an empty waste land if you disobey the boss. He understood and went back to his room to play season 3 with his friends, after doing what I had asked. Kids need to learn who is boss from the parents so in real life on the job, they know exactly what to do and say when taking instruction from an employer. While I can't fire my son, I certainly fired many people who thought they were the boss. I don't think a lot of workers have heard whose in charge from their parents, before thinking they are entitled to a job.

Probably should not have gone woke...

1 ReplySo people that work at Bungie can’t handle work criticism and call everything toxic. Bungie doesn’t want anything that could hurt sales to get out, so they cave to the woke. Woke is Bungie’s deity and cannot be questioned. Question it and you’re toxic. From the path the game has taken that is obvious. Bungie is making diversity hires for diversity sake, but are they firing these people when they don’t perform or don’t work well with a team? Sounds like they’re going the opposite direction and firing the “toxic” team instead.

You only need to give one look at the financials of the Bungie Foundation to realize that they ain’t walking their talks.

3 RepliesEdited by OurWildebeest: 12/11/2021 3:01:50 PMWithout knowing what actually happened, it is difficult to have a clear opinion. People should be treated with respect. But the CEO message that emphasized that “rock stars aren’t safe” “you aren’t safe just because you are great at your job” etc makes me wonder how much of this is about jealousy and how it might de-prioritize actually making the game successful. At a fundamental level, Bungie has only one purpose, which is to make money for its owners. Everything else is a means to an end. The main way of doing this is to create a product people are willing to pay for, as cheaply as possible without sales and retention suffering. This press release is a strategy to maintain sales in the face of negative publicity. The question is, is it worth it if it hurts the product? If I were a “rock star” at Bungie, I would be working on my exit strategy based on this message.

11 RepliesPetey Pie Parsons should step down immediately and give his job to a black trans jew. If he doesn't, or you disagree, well, you already know what you are.

4 RepliesThe more woke the company the bigger the culprit. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the stories about senior staff clashing with the -blam!- story lines are just them saying that the stuff shouldn't be in the game. Which tbh...I agree. Space zombies shooting other zombies and they force -blam!- preference story lines into it. Um why? There doesn't have to be any romantic relationships. So this 300 year old exo robot (was originally man) now identifies as a female exo who's attracted to an awoken man that's 150 years old. This all while it's the end of existence and the hive and darkness are going to wipe everything out lol. Little forced. Sounds like we're forcing 2021 earth into future golden age earth that probably doesn't give 2 shits.

15 RepliesIMO any company that takes pride in having a diverse set of employees over having really -blam!- good employees definitely has some -blam!- to hide. I personally don't give a -blam!- about what color a person's skin is, what religion they follow, who they identify as, or who they want to have -blam!- with. None of that matters to me and it CERTAINLY doesn't matter to game development. Hire the best people for the job and make sure they aren't -blam!- before you do, and if they do turn out to be -blam!- then fire them. When you turn your entire hiring machine into a giant diversity quota you are inevitably going to create a system where those same diversity hires are going to get hated on by others because they become scared they'll lose their job becuase they aren't "diverse" enough. Now doesn't that sound familiar. Also, INB4 we all get bans for daring to talk about this here.

2 RepliesMost did not read the entire article. Consensus is that Bungie is headed in the right direction. And it’s not about being woke, it’s about valuing your team and treating them accordingly.
