Crucible changes are good

For such a long twab youd think there would be some huge missteps but I actually have no complaints. The changes to the way the intellect stat affects cooldowns is specifically a high point; I'm impressed that "super o'clock" was a concern. [spoiler]Also, the nerf to Knockout was long overdue lmao[/spoiler]

  • Honestly, cutting most Cooldown Reductions in half or worse is a huge black eye. Not to mention how many mid/niche/meme subclasses they've made completely worthless (Middle Voidwalker, Well for PvP, anything using Shoulder Charge). They need to at the very least reverse or significantly reduce the nerfs to cooldown reductions.

    • What separates or made Destiny PVP different from others was/is the space magic. You nerf that into the ground and two words pop into my brain for a PVP fix going forward. Halo Infinite.

      • A lot of good changes in there, although getting rid of all OHK abilities except the Hunter one, and giving them another one makes no sense at all. Flux grenade will probably be the next crutch that every lobby is filled with, even if it has a longer cooldown people can spec disp. and use weapons with demolitionist, have bomber mods on a low cool down class ability if they use marksmans dodge, and you get combat meditation on bottom tree.

            Agreed. Not sure why Arcstrider was at Tier 3 though. With Stompees, dodge spam, reflect, etc., it is easily a top super option. Not sure why its Tier 3 at all actually. Especially since Goldy is at Tier 2, while it currently has the [i]lowest[/i] win rate of all Hunter supers on PC and console. Makes zero sense. Way of the Sharpshooter is the only super in the game that can't get more than three kills, outside of Bubble, and it isn't like every top tree Goldy player is getting team wipes.

                      The super changes are all great, but the 50% damage nerf to stasis crystals just made behemoth even worse. It’s now probably one of the worst subclasses in the game because of shatterdive. I feared that this was going to happen, I had hoped that they would nerf the shatterdive ability specifically, but glacier grenades just became useless to use on titan and warlock for PVP. Also RIP Titans, they got the brunt of the nerfs.

                      • I agree, this is good. I think what they said a long time ago about abilities having it take a backseat to weaponry is good, and this is just the implementation of that

                          Took about 6 months for Bungie to walk back neutering space magic during the Red War campaign after the Twitch stars turned on them like wolves. Best part is that it was the Twitch stars who initially begged AND praised Bungie for the changes. Let's see how long it takes them to do it again this time. The PvP community never learns its lesson.

                            • I wanna disagree but I’ll wait till they come to feel out the changes. I’m cautiously optimistic. I personally like where PvP is at right now and I think Bungie has done a shockingly good job so I’m willing to wait it out.

                            • I feel like they're just throwing -blam!- at the wall hoping something sticks, kinda like what they did with trials. Change it until they find something better. I just dont think this hand full of changes will make things a whole lot better than what they are now. We will see.
